This is my original post code:
Just for more info, here is the [ url=https://www.magiccardmarket.eu/Products/Singles/Judge+Rewards+Promos/Mind%27s+Desire]MCM Mind's Desire sales data[ /url].
I don't have a slightest idea why it sends to this forum??? So just copy-paste the address. There's something wonky going on with my posts.
Anyway, since I mantioned MCM as a valuation tool, here's a short write-up on the system and how the data is shown.
The sales page has a value graph on the right side of the screen, which shows the value at days when there have been sales (there's a dot on the graph). On cards with low traffic it shows exactly when and at which price cards have sold. Unfortunately it doesn't show the condition, artist signatures or such, so some of the high and low prices need to be ignored, but for judge foils it works very nicely to show the amount of sales and the value.
For regular set foils this doesn't help at all and for cards with high traffic the software calculates a average or median value, which also includes foils, so somebody buying a set of expensive foils, For example Spell Pierce will cause a noticeable spike in that days sales price, which isn't supported by market at all, so it get's ignored, except sometimes it's showing that the interest in some foil is going up. Which is nice for predicting jumps on Commander foils, but really hard to spot without access to the raw data, which isn't availlable to my knowledge.
Hope this helps.
Making a new link again ended linking to the same thread. Here it links to this thread, while the code is quoted from the Market Street post and the url is definitely for MCM sales data page.
Any ideas why this happens and how can it be fixed?
There's an ongoing issue with any abnormal character in a url link.
URLs only use a specific subset of characters normally.
Other characters are encoded into special %XX markers.
Currently, anything that needs to be encoded breaks the url tag.
(There's two separate parsers looking at it, and they mess eachother up)
The best workaround in the interim is to use something like bitly.
Just paste the url into bitly.com, then use that link.
It works fine, no popups, etc.
For instance, This Link goes to the Minds Desire link in question.
