When I try to attach any image, I get this error message:
"An error has occurred while trying to save the file you uploaded: This file is too large, and will put you over your attachment limit for this site."
The file in question is small (22 KB). Is this an error, or does this actually mean I have posted too many attachments during my several years on this site?
From how it reads, it looks like you all have uploaded too much total.
Not the file itself, but the total size of all uploads.
I'll have to report it up the chain.
With my join date and moderator career, this is quite probable. But how it will be fixed? Surely I cannot remain unable to attach anything for the rest of my life here?
Just got to say, you've definitely earned distinction as an MTGS hero

Because he's the hero MTGS deserves, and the one it needs right now. So we'll global him. Because he can take it. Because he's not just our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. An expired rascal.

ExpiredRascals you sir are a god-like hero.

I believe most of the Curse techs are busy with bug fixes, major account mess ups, etc.
The only real interim fix is to go back to your old posts and delete old unneeded attachments.
Or use something like Imageshack.us - it's free. I use it.
I know it's not the answer you want, but it's the best I can give you at the moment.
The thing is, the feature of easily finding one's attachments is gone from the old site (as far as I know). Most of my old attachments are buried somewhere in the huge clan thread and would be hard to find. (Also, most of my attachments are small. I'd have to delete a lot of them for it to make a difference, as far as I know.)

Using imageshack (everybody who has this problem) would lead to exceeded bandwidth and images not displaying. Been down this route. Plus, wasn't it forbidden on the old site for this reason.
Fair enough. I expect that after the initial phase is over, someone from the techs will fix it.

Hmmm. Imageshack has changed. It used to have a 200mb/hour limit.
(In context, my sig image could be viewed thirteen thousand times per hour and still be fine).
Now its a pay site with "free trial". :shudder:
imgur.com doesn't have a bandwidth cap, and it's free.
Their TOS and Privacy Policy are good.
Free accounts only suffer a 225 uploads limit and a 5mb file size limit.
Again, I know its not an actual solution.
But hopefully it'll get you through until an actual fix occurs?
If you need something that isn't an image, I'll upload it for you if it comes to that.
Just shoot me a PM and you can email it to me.

Maybe I'll have to use another image hosting site for my images then...
