To the point though. My meta is heavy on U/W and Fauna Shaman/Mythic Variants, I think Gaea's Revenge is a great choice for this type of meta, especially against Sun Titan variants.
For me, the question isn't if I should run it or not, but how many I should run. If I run 3 to 4, it clears up a ton of sideboard space, at the cost of being more susceptible to Baneslayer Angel, and making my threat list somewhat linear.
Your thoughts?

Complaining about card prices accomplishes nothing. Read some Medina articles, learn to trade better, don’t act like the only way to do ANYTHING in this game is to price out decks and buy every single you ever need.

Great SB card...serious beats that UW has problems dealing with. Not too much else to say.
yea I agree with kry. I mained her for a while because as I was refining my list I found UW to be a tough matchup for me. Now its a sideboard 2 of since there's other decks to worry about.
The evasion is crazy and the haste is great, not a bad option against control.
I run 1 maindeck, no sideboard. It's truly something you want to "draw into" not something you want to open up with, and with that logic I would say running 4 would be a mistake, 3 would be a small mistake, and 2 would be perfect. I run 1 for multiple reasons, one of them being I only own 2 avenger.
He's the absolute Nuts against Ascension. Like, a match swinging slot in the deck. I can see people losing to ascension more than 50% of the time without him possibly, while if you have him it's like 60-40 in your favor.
He's good against UW Control, but he's not the best thing ever. I would think Bogarden Hellkite would be better against them, as you can flash it EOT and kill the baneslayer and get 5 in, or obviously hit the summoning trap.
The anti-synergy between revenge and trap is obvious, although for good reasons instead of bad.

have to disagree with this, sir. Baneslayer has protection from dragons. the flash is the reason to play him, I'd think.
What's wrong with Kalonian Behemoth or Spellbreaker Behemoth (if you run Valakut) or even Terra Stomper? You can bring these out earlier even though they have their downsides they are good. Spellbreaker is good, it forces them to cast removal or they can't counter your Primeval Titan.
Kalorian Behemoth is godawful. Terra Stomper doesnt have a major impact on the board, and why play spellbreaker when i can play Gaea's Revenge? I want cards that have immediate impact on their own, not because of other cards.

Spellbreaker is 5/5 which can be brought out early with a bonus of cannot be countered, and allowing Primeval to not be countered too. Why is this bad?

It's bad because it gives you a false sense of security, in response to you casting your primeval, they will path your behe and counter your titan. Every card needs to be a serious threat.
I've been using this guy as a 2-of in the main, a lot of that being because I run into a disproportionately high number of Pyromancer Ascension decks at my shop, and to a lesser extent other random stuff like Runeflare, Grixis, Time Sieve, etc. Basically, anything that runs few to no creatures and/or depends on targeted removal has the possibility of being blown out by him.
Pyromancer's Ascension is especially crushed by this dude, assuming you throw it early enough, and he's only truly "bad" in a couple of MUs. I just like having a creature (or hell, any spell for that matter) that I can play and not have to worry about mana leak. I get tired of trying to bait that crap out or play around it, so there is a lot of satisfaction in windmilling this dude onto the table and swinging for 8, even when they have counter and/or removal mana all untapped and waiting for you
The only deck this guy is actually great against is Pyromancer Ascension...and even then it isn't that game-changing. Ascension is such a bad a matchup anyway that your SB plan had better not be a big ole idiot that if you don't trap into, won't make a difference. This isn't even mentioning the fact that Ascension is starting to sideboard into the Polymorph/Emrakul plan.
Against U/W Control, he either gets shut down by Baneslayer, or is blocked all day by Sea Gate Oracle/Sun Titan combo...depending on which version they're playing.
What I'm trying to get at is that this deck has better SB options than an 8/5 without trample.
I thought Ascension was crushed by a well timed back to nature. But that's not a MD card, and they do sometimes switch it up. Spell Breaker seems good, but I'd probably go with Revenge because it encompasses more MU's.
I like SBB (spellbreaker), testing him in the SB as 3 of in my paper meta.
The decks I SB him in against have counters, obviously, and RDW. Against RDW is a great wall and also a good basher that can come into play T3/4 (I also SB Oloths).
Against permission decks it helps get avenger and PT into play. As I recall permission decks side out removal for counterspells to help deal with your ramp.
At this point removal is less of a problem. I SB +3 SBB, -3 Summoning trap
I think Ill get revenges to try.....

Baneslayer isn't played much in my area anymore, neither us pyro.

Credit to DolZero for this awesome sig!
I think what he's saying is that he can't be countered meaning you cant cast a Summoning Trap for 0 after...I'm not going to speak for him/her though.
