I am making a speedy sligh type deck, I originally wanted to go monored but through playtesting I'm realizing right now atleast monored seems to be lacking a little something that will push it over the edge so I decided I'd splash a color.
My original idea was just splash green for Bloodbraid Elf, the elf replacing my Elemental appeal as my 4 drop.
But then I thought I could splash black for shambling remains and terminate.
Is there a viable way to splash BOTH black and red?
What would a 23 land manabase look like for red green black? My deck would be mostly red sources but would need green mana for 4 bloodbraid elf and 4 terminate and 4 shambling remains
Can you guys post an ideal and then a budget version as well if possible?
Also sorry mods if this is the wrong forum-I know this place is really strict with posting threads in the right place so sorry if I broke those rules here. What is the shard name for these 3 colors, so I can just go look in there.
and what creature is better in your experience, sprouting thrinax or shambling remains? This thing would be replacing teh ball lightning
I'm afraid I can't help you with decklists as we aren't allowed to post them here. However, I can point you in the right direction:
1. The color combination you are referring to belongs to the shard of Jund.
2. I would prefer Sprouting Thrinax over Shambling Remains, but it depends on the direction that the overall deck is taking.
3. The following is a list of lands that you may find helpful, if you can find them. Some of these will be harder to get than others if you are on a budget. This list is not exhaustive.
I would say use the GB Fetchland, Lotus Cobra, Harrow, for mana choices because you can get very far ahead of your opponent with your green providing red and black, and you can just nail them short after.
Just remember green can support your mana but you will still need the red and black sources if you can't find what you need.... (just remember Lotus Cobra can be pricey)

Don't listen to this. Lotus Cobra does not belong in a speedy Sligh deck.
If you're playing mostly Red sources, you're in luck because the M10 duals you want to play are activated by Mountains. Something like this:
That's probably a pretty good start to an Aggro Jund mana base. The Savage Lands are going to slow you down a little though. You might want to try it with more basics/M10s instead.
FYI: Shambling Remains is probably not worth splashing for, but there are plenty of other good B cards to splash for. Anathemancer, Blightning, etc... BBE is worth splashing for.
