Okay, here be the latest deck I've been losing with. Runs pretty simple keep the board clear and like keep yourself alive until you can play Congregation At Dawn and stack 3 Kokushos FTW.
I'm sure it gets beat pretty hard by cheesy counterspell decks, but people who play counter have no soul, so I win in the end anyway.
The reason behind the 1 Solifuge and 1 Kagemaro. Is that Sometimes I have a CAD in hand and don't need to go for the whole 3 Kokusho stack kill, sometimes he's already like under 8 or so, so I can just top deck a Solifuge with cad and swing with the Solifuge and a Hiearach FTW. Kagemaro is just another cool Wrath effect to pick up with CAD.
The SDTs help a lot here, often times i've actually had enough mana to CAD, stack my guys and then use the top to draw and play the first card I stacked, pretty neat. Plus just cool in general with all the shuffling effects.
Im thinking of maybe throwing Phrexian Arena in here, but im not sure.
@Mods: Can we give out a warning to the first kid who responds to this with something like "This just looks like a sub-par version of B/G/w Triad"?
That would really make me feel better.
Any other comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: Okay, dropped the Solifuge, Kagemaro and 2 Shoals for 3 Arena.
Dude, this looks like a subpar version of Triad Control...
lol...
No really, I don't think you need Solifuge. I would put in Debtors' Knell. This can give you a possible 20 point swing in life totals in 1 turn (bring back a Kokusho and cast one...-10 to opponent, +10 to you). Also, you may want early discard to help against control decks. Castigate and Shrieking Grotesque can fill those roles.
Yeah, I suppose the Solifuge isn't all that needed. I dropped him after I noticed the deck was 61.
Debtors Knell does seem somewhat cool. But what I don't like about it is that I have to play it, then wait till my next turn to get a creature, if there even is a Kokusho in the graveyard, then wait yet another turn to actually attack with said Kokusho.
More often then not if theres a Kokusho in the graveyard, its cause I already won anyway.
Im definatley gonna put in 3 Phrexian Arena in here though, im just not sure what to take out just yet. Maybe the 1 Kagemaro and some other thing or whatever. Dark Confidant would just be too hard to pull of in here, he'd only work if I had out Top, and even then would as mentioned just slaughter me after a CAD.
But yeah, totally 3 Phrexian Arenas.
