This deck does have a weakness to faster aggro decks because we have to shock ourselves with our land and with thoughtseize. We still have a chance though because after sideboard we turn into a more midrange deck. Let us start to discuss how to make this deck an actual contender.
I've been considering a Jund +1/+1 counter deck as well, though I am dying to try going with a bit of a higher curve into Kalonian Hydra. I was considering using Sylvan Caryatid (possibly alongside Burning-tree Emissary) as a way to evolve experiment one, hold off other one drops, and ramp into the Exava-Kalonian Hydra combo one turn sooner.
Your version with the glut of 2-drops looks very interesting though, since you have a great shot to get 8 power on the board on turn 2. I am most concerned about facing RDW, which is always in a good position at the start of a new format. It looks blisteringly fast and can end the game at turn 4 a lot with the help of Fanatic of Mogis. That was my main reasoning for pursuing Sylvan Caryatid, since it can stop the bleeding in those crucial early turns while being immune to spot removal.
This deck does die to RDW pretty horribly, but the trade off is having a great match vs midrange and control. Thoughtseize just puts this deck over the top. Also the higher curve sounds good too because we'd trade off explosiveness for more heavy hitters.
Strider should probably be deathbellow raiders. Evolves just as good but nearly the dog to any removal spell as strider. The m14 hexprood color blue black hoser could have that spot also if you think your base can support it.
Id make room for magma jet to help smooth your mana base some. Probably decay or blade... or strider i suppose.
A 2 mana 3/1 with an upside is very good in a burning-tree emissary. And my mana base isn't so bad because I only need one black to cast my spells. magma jet is very good, but I splashed black so I can have access to had removal.
