I'd try the second one out first imo. Both look good, but the first one hasn't been updated for DGM and is a little slower, aiming to take board position with creatures that would be unfavorable for your opponent to block. The second one seems geared more towards play a guy and turn sideways every chance you get.
I wouldn't mix Shred-Freak, Mauler and Jester in a single deck. Those are 12 creatures with 1 toughness and nothing to give them an edge in combat. A single Lingering Souls or Midnight Haunting and your attacks stop. Flames of the Firebrand, Electrickery, etc.
I'm assuming the number of burn spells is to make way for said creatures, but that is a weak plan, as there is no reason not to just run better creatures and reserve burn for when you really need them.
And as always I wouldn't run 4 Guildgates. 2 + Summits are more than enough.
The thing about Red/Black in this block is that playing with them conservatively is going to get you nowhere. Keep attacking, no matter what. If you don't have any creatures on the field, you can always bring out more, since most of your creatures will be on the cheap side, whereas your opponents will probably have to tap out to summon something else.

There is hate for just about any x/1 creature nowadays, but they are still popular in numerous decks. The first deck the op had listed is a little more "controling" if you will, in that it's a little slower and more of the creatures have x/2 p/t. That being said, there's plenty of ways to deal with x/2 creatures atm as well.
I advised the second deck because it's a bit more straight forward in terms of playstyle (play a guy, turn him sideways). The op can always try both out to see which they prefer more though.
I saw two decks from shinbatsu and yakusoku that I'm interested in within my budget. Which deck do you think is more competitive?
