I have restarted started up playing MTG at the beginning of RTR and I am having some issues coming up with some Deck ideas. Since I started I have been focusing on Standard/Block Decks. The reason why I am asking here is because I really like the simple cheap decks (with little amount of rares).
Can anyone help me with putting together a UW Type Deck?
Deputy of Acquittals allows you to re-detain someone with either of your detainers, draw another card from Mentor, or reset Loyal Cathar back to it's white side.
Detention Sphere and Mentor of the Meek are the only two that are even moderately expensive, and both come in around the dollar range last time I checked.
There are probably better ideas out there, but for a simple budget blue-and-white, it's a decent one.

14 Plains

Nice and simple: White Weenie rush with 2 subthemes: resistance to removal (Doomed Traveler and Loyal Cathar) and Detaining enemies (Azorius Arrester and Liev Skyknight). Card draw power comes from Mentor of the Meek (which is triggered by every other card in the deck), attacking power from Jelenn Sphynx (You Jellen?), and of course Oblivion Ring and Detention Sphere remove the nastiest enemy threats.
