With Bant hexproof losing a lot of blue power with the rotation of M13/INN (Geist, stalker, spectral flight, ect), it seems that tightening our mana-base seems the way to go. But can we still get a competitive and powerful deck when we lose these cards?
Here is a basic list I would propose:
I like it!
I have already been building it something similar up. Obviously not as powerful or evasive without the stalker or geist, but it could work sometimes, and it shouldn't need to mulligan as much with only two colors, nor will it be as vulnerable to Burning Earth.
+4 dorks - speed kills
+4 Sunpetal Grove - Rotation not for months
+4 Rancor - rotation not for months, affordable and incomparable
-4 abundant growth - durdling is suicide, don't need fixing, only synergizes w/ethereal
-1 sphere - durdling is suicide
Fiendhunter Paladin at least sideboard
Sigarda at least sideboard.
See what Theros has before planning the post-rotation deck.
Here's what I was thinking (including budget considerations, as Voice>Strangleroot)
Here is a basic list I would propose:
4 Voice of Resurgence
3 Loxodon Smiter
4 Witchstalker
2 Trostani, Selsnya’s Voice
2 Archangel of Thune
4 Ethereal Armor
4 Abundant Growth
3 Unflinching Courage
3 Gift of Orzhova
2 Selesnya Charm
1 Sphere of Safety
4 Temple Garden
10 Forest
10 Plains
Yes, we don’t have as many hexproof creatures as we used to, but Voice can act as a psudeo hexproof creature with its ability.
What is your opinion?
