This feels like it could hold some merit for the next few months and I wanted to get some people's outtake on how this deck would work in the current meta. There are obvious synergies with the cards in the list an I feel it can pace well with other decks. Here is the list.
Some notable interactions obviously Chandra's Phoenix with any burn spell to keep the aggro going. Along side the phoenix, Wild Guess becomes all value to draw into some more burn or a Young Pyromancer to start populating the field. Boros Reckoner feels like a good control mechanism as he still fuels any burn when targeted with damage or by a creature. Chandra, Pyromancer gives some value to dig deeper for a burn spells if there is the need to accelerate your hand. She keeps you from running out of fuel as well can serve as a lightning rod for removal which isn't necessarily a bad thing in this case. In addition, she allows you to ping an opponent and let an attacker through, or at the very least keep their biggest creature from blocking. Sideboard is not thought up as it could go many ways so any suggestions on that could help to improve the idea.
Let me know what you guys think as to how this deck can be tweaked and how well you think it could do with the other matchups.
I suggest checking the competitive section in the Established (I believe) deck types for the R/x aggro/deck thread. Skullcrack is a sb card 99% of the time. Atm the meta doesn't demand it in the mb. And if you are only running 12 creatures with your curve topping out at 4, I think you can safely cut some amount of lands and drop to either 20 or 22.
Hey thanks for the replies. I was thinking of dropping the Scullcracks originally and didn't think it really should be considered mb. I'll slip them into the sideboard and look for a better option. I'll check out the thread you mentioned and see what ideas they have on it. Thanks for taking a look at it and I will reference that thread.
