So... we had legions (all creatures), and alara reborn (all multicolor) which both played into the themes of their respective blocks.
So I'm guessing Journey Into Nix's gimmick will be every creature in it will be an enchantment creature and a majority of non-creature permanents will be enchantments as well. Think about it Nix is where the enchantment creatures are from...so why wouldn't every single one be an enchantment creature. Thoughts?

Gimmick sets never do well and MaRo has stated such about Alara Reborn and Legions. We've also heard that the only reason a card has Enchantment added to it is if there is a functional aspect to it. Anything that's an Enchantment must act like an enchantment in some way.
While I don't think WotC would do this, you might be on to something. Every piece of art I've seen so far has had that stary bestow effect, although if anything, I would think the name "Born of the Gods" would hint at an all enchantment creature theme.
Even disregarding how incredibly gimmicky it would feel, there is absolutely no way they'll let Wear/Tear destroy every creature in the set at instant speed for W.

This is just a foolish idea. R&D at Wizards would never let something like this through. Additionally it would make cards like Wear // Tear and Ethereal Armor silly strong.

Would Dark Confidant still be good if he punched you in the face for 5 damage a turn?
None of the blocks after Alara Reborn had super gimmicky third sets to tie the block together so why would this one be any different? Zendikar block and Scars of Mirrodin both could easily have had super gimmicky tie-ins if that was something Wizards thought was good idea.
at least all creature and all multicolor are plausibly popular theme. but people don't care about enchantments. not even mirrodin the all artifact plane had such a narrow gimmick, and artifacts are way more popular than enchantments.

Rise of the eldrazi was just another set. So there were eldrazi with annihilator triggers. Not sure what your point is.
I highly doubt the entire set is enchantment creatures or cards with the subtype enchantments. I doubt they [WotC] could make it work and if they can't make it work they scrap the idea.

Gimmicky set does not equal gimmick set.
Every set has gimmicks, that's why most keywords aren't evergreen keywords. A 'gimmick set' is where every card in the set, the whole set, is made up of some idea that no other set is like.
For Rise to be a 'gimmick set' it would need to either be all Colorless or all Annihilator or something like that.
Even the name implies something or someone is going into Nix and it's a reasonable assumption that they aren't originally from Nix and therefore not an enchantment creature.
My guess is that it's like Jason and the Argonauts type of theme. A group of Therosians go and battle something in Nix.
I really don't feel like pulling up the video yet again because these type of threads pop up just about every block.
NO, we will not see another "everything is _____" block until there are major changes in who is in charge of Magic because people like Maro were around and saw how poorly Alara Reborn was received (I personally liked it but I got the feeling he was talking more about tournament players). The example he gave was icecream for supper every night. You just don't want to do it because it's just too much of a good thing.
As for enchantment lands, what did we learn from Artifact lands?

Enchantment lands don't have the same broken ability affinity that artifact lands did that made them be a problem.
When you add other types on to lands you are playing with fire. They are "free" to play each turn, so it drastically enhances synergies at very little cost.
Enchantment Lands also need to have an ability to make them Enchantments to make Wizards print them as such.
I couldn't really see it being a cycle, but I could see something like this as a one-of at uncommon:
Utopia Garden
Enchantment Land
Bestow :symg::symg: (If you cast this card for its bestow cost, it's an Aura with enchant creature. It becomes a land again if it isn't attached to a creature.)
Utopia Garden enters the battlefield tapped.
:symtap:: Add to your mana pool.
Enchanted creature has ":symtap:: Add to your mana pool".

That's closer, but... Bestow is a Creature Keyword, and you never cast Lands.

No no, it's "Nicks", ya know, short for "Nickers". We're journeying into the gods' nickers, duh.

It'd also match the need for an Enchantment Land to have an Enchantment ability. But that'd... probably lead to terrible things.
