Hello, first of all, I'd like to apologize if this is the wrong section for this. I think this can be considered speculation. I also would like to say I'm sorry if this is a redundant post. I didn't see anything like this, so I assumed this was the first thread of it's kind
Anyway, Erebos can be seen in the art for Cavern Lampad. He's rather blurry, but you can see his key features clearly. He's the only major god depicted on his Nymph's art, from what I can see.
Does this hold any significance, you think? Or is it just the artist sneaking it in?

Honestly, I think it's probably a statue rather than the actual god.
Assuming it is a statue, why only depict Erebos then? The statue wouldn't be difficult at all the draw since it's seemingly meant to be far away and less detailed.

It is Erebros himself and it is a statue of him.
Like from the Disney movie Hercules when his father Zeus went from statue to talking and moving god.

Failed Opression Stories:
Legend of Korra
Return to Ravnica
(Not that the stories or character are inhernetly bad, but that they failed to further delve into the topic. Like Gateless/Non-Benders feeling opressed by the Guilds/Benders that sought a revolution but it became less of importance according to the story.)
I think that's just an easter egg. The nymph seems to be standing in some kind of ruined temple to Erebos or even in front of an entrance to the underworld. It wouldn't be strange to have a statue of Erebos at such a place.
I don't really get the point. The object is not obviously enough big to be the god himself. And it is a black card, so it only depicts the black god. After all, the focus is on the nymph, not any statues.
So yes, I would just say it is being snuck in there as a graphic detail, nothing more.
Well, gods are able to walk the land as humans. Stands to reason they can take on any form they wish. So the size thing may or may not be an issue. Though I can see this statue/god just being a graphic detail. I just don't understand the need to give this card and only this card a depiction of a god.

In fairness, they were done by multiple artists. This could be an affectation he wanted that the others didn't.
I am sure we will get one, but it should not be portrayed by a mere nymph! Persephone was the daughter of a goddess! My favorite part of that myth is when Demeter goes to the other goddesses with her woes and they do no understand because Hades is perhaps the best suitor anyone could want, the richest of the gods and one of the brothers instrumental in the overthrow of the titans!
