Any cards or mechanics out there that can heal commander damage? Seems like this is the only EDH mechanic they haven't messed with yet. Sorry if this is a duplicate post!
I think the deck might need more artifact/enchantment removal but not sure that is the way to do it. The card just doesn't seem to contribute to the deck in any other way.
Abyssal Gatekeeper is also a good small creature that helps keep the board clear.
Isn't this kind of counter to how you would want things to play out? I mean they will simply just never pay the 3 life to make it do to the graveyard and then you will just be cycling a *****ty overpriced 1/1 creature right?
Maybe not the commander with the best ability to combo off of or work with a deck but as a standalone deal Lazav, Dimir Mastermind is pretty fantastic. My mill deck wasn't too great until I added him as a commander.
I usually just go straight for the group hugger. Giving advantages to my opponents is a giant red flag. Not only does it make my path to victory more difficult, it also gives the group hugger immunity in a playgroup with newer players.
This. But I can imagine that if this scenario were to play out in my own playgroup people would get pissed and probably go after the aggressor. However, sometimes I believe it's more important to kill off a certain player even if it means losing the game for yourself just to make a point.
One instance is that my buddy has a mono green token/saproling deck. It always starts out wicked slow and he is always doing a ton of stuff but never affecting anyone until BAM he can win in like 1 or two turns. So we played over a few different nights and it wasn't until the 3rd or 4th playnight (which happened over about a month span) that I realized he had won the last 6 games straight that I had played with him. So our next few games I made it a point to take him out first even though it ended up costing me the game when I did. But he doesn't play that deck as much now because of it I think, and it was worth it.
They just updated the site and added a ton of features, better card pricing, better interface and it seems like they're going to be adding a lot more soon as well.
Although I've been a bit more picky about trading cards because of what postage costs etc. I'm getting more and more into this site as it seems like it is really becoming a great way to make use of those cards you never thought would be worth anything or useful for ever again.
I have an iphone so that's primarily what I'm looking for.
My friend somehow has a working version of Command Zone which seems to be the best because it actually has abilities to keep score of every single aspect of commander, but it is no longer under development so for me that's out of the question.
I prefer Life Counter because it puts everyone's scores on one page and keeps score of every possible aspect though it's not my favorite interface and it can only keep score of up to 4 players at once.
The other option I use is iMTG which is good in many aspects but requires you to scroll through different pages to score more than 2 people, and also requires you to use the poison counters score as the general death counts score.
I love this site. Been using it a ton lately and it's great. Out of probably like 150 trades I only had 2 which didn't work out and they were both promptly worked out fairly.
The game was this normal kind of humdrum game but my opponent's thrull deck was starting to build and my other opponent had a few heavy hitting boros creatures out. Unfortunately for me I didn't have anything good out and was playing my control deck.
I cast Brilliant Ultimatum. I have the thrull opponent organize the piles of cards, in it is Enchanted Evening. Little did they know in my hand was Aura Thief. I put out Enchanted Evening when it was my turn, and the following turn bring out the Aura Thief. They both start freaking out and stop attacking me refusing the risk killing the Aura Theif. Luckily I also had a World Queller so put that out, waited until my upkeep then chose "creatures" as the type. Sacked the Aura Theif and gained control of all the cards in the game.
I wanted to make a deck with this general because I don't play with heavy infinite combo decks. Interesting suggestions. I definitely see how Maralen could be quite annoying.

That would be great in combination with Deathbringer Liege.

Any other decent recommendations?
But when it comes time to shuffle the beast - especially with sleeves - I could say I'd be happy with 80 min.

I like my control deck but it is mean.
