Can someone correct me; if I have a Chalice of the Void with 1 charge counter and then cast a Gigadrowse replicating it 1 time, paying , are both spells countered? I saw the example of the 4 Trinispehere's with one Shattering Spree for the CMC of the spell when you cast it, but this one confuses me.
Planeswalkers have become icons in the current story and gameplay of M:TG. Everytime a PW came to speculation prices changes and decks are born. I often cast them and many times I had won because of them rather than other strategies. How do you see PW in Commander?, are they too good?, do the new rules affect them for good or bad?, do we need more PW removal?
Here are some of my favorites:
Karn Liberated, won too many times because of him and also lose because of him. My favorite in Commander. Black now can remove enchantments, green can hit hands... colorpie favorite.
Garruk Wildspeaker, the sinergy of his +1 is amazing, drop turn 4 and I can defend him with a token or with 2 mana open. Next turn enjoy 2 extra mana.
Liliana Vess, tutoring and discard <3, autoinclude in all my black decks (except goblins), that Miracle ability seems very good with her. A little mana pricy, but worthy.
Jace, the Mind Sculptor, I have to accept that I used his +2 almost every time (maybe once his ult) even if his a toolbox. It has very good mana cost/efficiency ratio, too bad he ain't money cheap.
Sometimes I wish I could use a Commander already print but with different color identity, for example, I could easily play a Karador, Ghost Chieftain if it's CMC were 5BUG, or a 2UB Captain Sisay, and may be make her wizard. A Jund Uril, the Miststalker?, probably, I play Naya for tokens but could play Uril in Jund, even if a lot of great auras are white.
Anyone else thinks some Commanders could have fit a different Color Identity? or thinks it's abilities deserves a different 'color pie' aproach?
I started with Zur and Glissa when she was released. Then when the precons were released I wanted to try at least every wedge Commander. I have decks I will always have and decks I can trade or make several changes. I have 10 decks in my sigs , but I think I've had like 16 some time ago. I just show to my LGS with 3 at most. There are players like me, cause I start building decks even if I haven't finished a previous deck project, I don't think I can stop getting cards, think of new decks and just settle with what I have, but I do play more wiht the decks that I like the most.
Well, now I'm thinking of a mana rock with a Commander's identity color ability, add 1 mana of any color of your Commander, 3 damage if you lose the flip, or maybe 2 inconditional damage. We all know a reprint of MC in the Precons is nearly impossible, but there are lots of options to develop affordable and accesible mana rocks for all players.
There's a strong case to be made that the new Commander precons will feature two-color commanders inspired by the guilds of Ravnica. Think about it...the game of Magic is focused heavily on Ravnica right now, a focus which will continue until summer 2014. New players are encountering two-color cards and are learning bits and pieces of Ravnica lore through the flavor text. We've all gotten our hands on shiny new shocklands lately. It makes a lot of sense to focus these new Commander precons on two-color decks and generals. Maybe they could even resurrect some old legends from the first Ravnica block? Isperia the Inscrutable? Lyzolda, the Blood Witch? Lots of fun to be had there.
Two enemy colors Commanders each with a monocolor Commander. Even with ally colors seems a good variant this year.
I collect. The guy who posted just before you collects. We are pointing out how STUPID, SELFISH, and COUNTER PRODUCTIVE it is to consider this HOBBY an investment. It is NOT an investment. It is a hobby. You want to use a video game analogy? Fine. What you are demanding is that all functional and unable gear be time exclusive, age restricted, special dlc that you cannot play the game without, and cost an arm and a leg to get to begin with, and has only gotten more expensive. Do you complain when your favorite video game locks down content for your system, because the other system's users were throwing a temper tantrum for 'exclusive' content? We use that word these days like it is a good thing. It isn't. Exclusivity is leaving others out. Prejudice. Discrimination. Bullying. That is exactly what 'magic investors' are. Bullies. You treat the rest of us like **** because we cannot afford those ridiculous prices, then make more noise than pigs at a slaughterhouse if anyone dares mention a reprint, because it will hurt your virtual dollars. Grow up. I've worked my ass off for the things I have, and expect others to do the same. I just don't expect to be the only one given an opportunity to do so.
True. And in fact I see more price changes because of banns/unbanns in the formats by the DCI than new printings of cards.
It's on the "can't get angry" list when it gets blown up. It's powerfully useful, although I've seen some folks miss good opportunities because they forget to put stuff under it.
Also sometimes people forget thay can put the token into the battlefield at the beggining of the end step before their turn for them to have two tokens at the same time.
If Mimic Vat's second ability is activated during a turn's end step, the token will be exiled at the beginning of the following turn's end step.
UB wizards decks are strong. I think Dralnu must be played in Dual Commander. I saw many times from various players that they target him with damage spells over other threats
just to get them mad, it's so risky in MP. In dual it's nuts. Just cast him when you have in play a serious way to protect him versus Black and Red.
I wasn't around for player rewards, so I have no idea what it entailed. Even if it still existed, it'd do little for me. I am under the impression that it was based on tournament entry and success, right?
Yes, 10 tourneys played, Prereleases and Launch Parties counted. But I mean you can afford it cause a wide part of the community got them.
Well mana crypt is kind of like anything from p3k, it's expensive dude to scarcity not power. It's less powerful than sol Ring because it has a downside, but for vintage and edh, it's sol Ring #2. It's on the reserved list if I'm correct but I'm not sure how that effects non canon block cards that are in preconstructs. I guess sol Ring was also probably on the reserve list though.
I'd lie a reprint. It's powerful and a staple for those who can afford. Coin flipping is also fun.
Is it on the Restricted List? I missed it, I'll have to check again. But I think it would be a very good reprint (if able) to see.
Edit: I can't find it on the Reserved List, I hope my link to be 'The' official WOTC Reserved List, is there an other updated list?

Hi. I wan´t to know if I sacrifice Finks to the Pod, what happened?
Does the finks return first and then the angel can blink it?
Or because the sacrified Finks is a cost enter first on the stack, resolving first the search for the Angel then the return of the Finks.
Or can I choose the order?
Thank you.

BONUS: Doubling Season, Pernicious Deed, all kind of sorcery wrath effects (Obliterate!!!) play along PW in my meta all the time.

^ This. I just include Into the Roil and Cyclonic Rift for bounce effects. When I face tokens I cast plain mass removal.
