Just wanted to point out a very good tournament summary post in the Dega Control thread. Basslinez821 succinctly summarizes each of his games, including major plays from both his opponent and himself, and then listed broader summaries near the end.
It doesn't matter that he went 3-4 and ultimately dropped out of the tournament (well, it matters for those playing that deck) because anyone reading his post can learn a lot about how the different cards function in that deck and how to play with/against it.
Harvest Pyre AND Blasphemous Act seems unnecessary. Also, having only Counterflux as a counter makes me think this deck does really well against aggro (which, admittedly, is the majority of the meta) but very poorly against tempo and control.
I think his second ability will most assuredly be Electrolyze and it will be a -3. It cannot be a -2 because that will be a little too powerful. I have no clue about his plus 1, but I can definitely see a looting effect. His Ultimate is going to be a powerful summoning of elemental type spell just based off his lore and what he has been KNOWN to do.
That would depend on his CMC and starting loyalty. If he was 4CMC (2RU) and started with 3 loyalty and a +1 as his first ability, a -2 Electrolyze is completely reasonable.
All I want is for him to be playable. I've waited forever for a RU planeswalker.
I like the idea of having Boros Reckoner in a control deck because it works very well against aggro match ups, but I feel like Gerry's deck focuses too much on said match up and not enough on other less aggressive ones (ie the mirror, Bant/Esper tempo/control). He lost Round 1 to a mirror match; his opponent played a very similar deck in that it was RWU control with Boros Reckoner, but focused a bit more on having all three relevant charms, and utilizing that combo instead of Harvest Pyre (opponent's deck listed below, which made it to the finals).
I really like Larson's deck, but felt that it could use more smaller card draw (ie other than Sphinx's Revelation). Also, I don't like having four Augur of Bolas and Boros Reckoner. Without fetch lands to thin our deck, I find that Augur of Bolas digs up two/three lands and/or creatures often enough to be disappointing. Four copies of Boros Reckoner seems excessive when this deck doesn't really have that hard of a time against the non-hexproof aggro matchup anyways.
I haven't tested out this most recent iteration yet, but I will this weekend or something. This build gives me five counters (two of them being Izzet Charm), eight smaller instant speed card draw (Thought Scour, Izzet Charm, and Azorius Charm), one repeatable card draw (Desolate Lighthouse, which is perfect later in the game when I can just pitch lands), and enough burn/removal. Moorland Haunt (and Snapcaster Mage) is great against Deathrite Shaman, but only one is necessary since the deck plays only 12 creatures to begin with.

Sidebar: winning with Harvest Pyre/Blasphemous Act must be so fun to do.

Two things I'm considering:
1. Drop a Sphinx's Revelation? Two seems like it would be enough.
2. Cavern of Souls naming "Wizards" is powerful.
Maybe -1 Glacial Fortress and -1 Sulfur Falls for +2 Cavern of Souls.
