Captain Sisay is a good home. You get to play her as part of 99 but still always tutor for her, and you get to play her with Kamahl, fist of krosa and other things to animate people's lands. Plus you get to play and tutor for Gaea's Cradle to make lots of mana to cast her and do the other things, and you have the normal green ramp suite to get her out faster as well.
Is it legal in a tournament setting to set the card face up on top of your library?
I'm not asking this to be a rules lawyer, and I certainly don't mind anyone in my EDH playgroup doing it, I'm just asking for future reference.
No, you can't put anything that could be mistaken for a card on top of your library, including an actual card. That's why people use other things like dice, coins, etc.
So, anyone have ideas for cards that say "Hey, you have lots of walls/defenders/creatures with high toughness, so you get a powerful effect!"? Something to convert a board presence of blockers into some advantage. EDIT: Can be in any colors.
Séance in Rhys the Redeemed. Yes, I would like to make a token of a sweet creature and start doubling it every turn. (Also works with Mimic Vat, but that card is just good in general).
I wasn't suggesting codex shredder for this deck, just making a point saying that Skull isn't that bad by comparing it to how codex shredder is good in a different deck.
As for what I think of Skull of Orm, I don't think it's great but if you want to test it out you should, it isn't terrible. Codex Shredder is also a 5 mana repeatable regrowth and it's very good in my Glissa, the Traitor list. That is a grindy deck, which can benefit from the repeatable but costly effect. Replenish is better than Skull, though I didn't suggest it above cause it's like $10-15. There's also Open the Vaults as a possibility.
I've played against Oloro decks that use the Sanguine Bond and Exquisite Blood to win. You don't need to be in Oloro, but the combo doesn't go off until you have both in play and either you gain life or someone else loses life. Bloodchief Ascension + Mindcrank similarly.
Hey guys, fairly new to magic and I just opened this guy today!
Just wondering, how does Kurkesh interact with equip abilities?
Say I pay 2 to equip Fleetfeather Sandals to my Scrapyard Mongrel, may I then pay R and equip it to a second Scrapyard Mongrel?
What happens when the second Scrapyard Mongrel dies? Does the copied equipment on him disappear?
This post is a week old, but it's worth getting right.
The copy of the equip ability resolves first. When it resolves, it gets equipped to the second Mongrel. Then, the first equip ability resolves. The equipment MOVES to the first mongrel, and is unattached from the second one. So copying an equip generally accomplishes nothing (in most cases - it would do something with Heartseeker for example, since you have priority to activate the ability after the copy of equip resolves but before the original)
Burning Earth. It's asymmetrical version of Manabarbs if you are in monored. (Well, and then it sucks against other mono-color decks, but pros vs cons)
An all star in my Riku Spirits and Arcane deck. Fun little card.
Wait, do you have splicing spells there too? If you splice onto a spell then copy it with Riku, does it copy the spliced part as well? Because that would be really cool, I think.
You copy the entire spell, including the spliced-on text.
Hana Kami + Soulless Revival lets you repeat any arcane spell as much as you have mana. Cast your arcane spell. Sac hana kami to get it back. Recast your arcane spell, this time splicing soulless revival to get hana kami back. Then recast hana kami, and you are back where you started. Gives your arcane spells "Buyback {2}{G}{G}{B}".

Inexorable Tide, Astral Cornucopia/Everflowing Chalice, and maybe Fathom Mage in Vorel of the Hull Clade (I dunno, a lot of cards go crazy in Vorel)
Recycle and Null Profusion are huge bombs in any deck designed around them, but especially Damia, Sage of Stone. Also in Damia, Cadaverous Bloom.
A lot of Glissa, the Traitor ones have been said already, but I'll add Salvaging Station and maybe Codex Shredder. As well, Oblivion Stone goes from just a mediocre wrath to a bomb. Glissa is awesome because of how well she uses otherwise bad cards - I'm always super happy to draw even a Chromatic Star.
In Azami, Lady of Scrolls we have Voidmage Prodigy, Venser's Journal (not super specific, but can be very powerful). And of course the two card combo with Mind over Matter (also works in Arcanis the Omnipotent).
Brago, King Eternal turns a lot of ok or solid cards into craziness. Venser, the Sojourner blinks things AND makes Brago unblockable in the same turn. A single hit from Brago resets all the counters from Cauldron of Souls. Reality Acid becomes great. Traveler's cloak and Unquestioned authority are already alright in voltron-ish decks, but now they draw a card EVERY TURN.

Nevermore is probably better than Declaration of Naught, mainly against things like Cavern of Souls or Vexing Shusher, or more niche things like Spellbreaker behemoth.

Sigil of the Empty Throne is a good win con, though it does win through creatures ultimately. Ditto Luminarch Ascension. Agreed with above on Future Sight - card's just really good. Island Sanctuary is solid in this kind of deck, especially in combination with a card drawer or with future sight. I usually see No Mercy in this kind of deck as well. Copy Enchantment is good. Soul Snare is another card that works with Skull of Orm. Since you have a lot of instants, Leyline of Anticipation or Vedalken Orrery are good. Decree of Pain is a solid wrath, probably better than Phyrexian Rebirth
Not sold on Curse of Exhaustion as it only affects one opponent. Vile Consumption doesn't seem that great - 1 life isn't that much. I'd substitute Armillary Sphere -> Wayfarer's bauble which actually ramps you ahead on mana. I don't like the howling mine plan of Otherworldly Atlas and Dictate of Kruphix. If you want more draw options you can go for Honden of Seeing Winds. And the Elixir/Cane plan also doesn't seem so good. Not such a fan of Dingus staff considering it costs 4 mana, if it cost 2 or 3 I could get behind it.
Is you plan for Declaration of Naught to name commanders?
