Just a warning to anyone interested in these. I personally watched these be searched after they had been given to the winner. Obviously I can offer no proof and OP will no doubt refute my claim but, you have been warned
Agreed with being sick of deathblade. It's super annoying when every single round has someone with deathblade battling some other deck. I wanted Todd Anderson to lose quite badly every single time. If you think Todd Anderson is a good player, think again. I certainly don't respect him as a player. He's just one of those SCG pro's that is slightly better than his opponent so he wins because open series players aren't exactly the highest caliber players on the planet. I'd love to see Lejay or some notable Europeans face Todd Anderson and crush him.
There is a reason you never see the SCG grinders come join us at the NELC
They are fine players, some of them are even quite good, hell, most are better than I am, I'll admit that (i'm bad at playing, good at building, i accept this) but at the end of the day, most of them aren't tier 1 players
Agreed. They keep playing favorites with friends and coworkers of SCG. Its definitely not the deck, when cawblade was in standard or even stoneblade or any other grindy style deck people would complain about it being on the stream a lot. Its getting ridiculous.
Sadly, i can offer some insight as to why the lands deck was not going to get a feature match for the quarter finals. The player he played against was Bryan hockey, a friend of mine playing our U/w/r stoneforge "brew" that was meant to just be an improvement on the idea of team italia.
Lands is an IMPOSSIBLE match up for us. Simply look at Bryan's list and you'll see why that woudn't have been interesting to watch
I've stumbled across a Battlewise Aven from Judgment that appeared to have the Uncommon silver rarity symbol on it. I looked closer and noticed the mana symbol was off as well. Further examination revealed the truth: ALL of the black text has been printed in silver as well! I've never seen anything like this before and searching the Internet didn't turn up anything. Any thoughts on value? Scan below next to a regular one:
Not sure on the value but I have a dozen or so cards like this so i cannot imagine it is too much
pod is one of those cards that scares me a little to spec on
sure, it could easily be $10 next modern season, i would be surprised by over $6 but modern does funny things to prices, but, in a format where bloodbraid elf, seething song and (seriously?) wild nactal are banned do you really want to speculate on the enabler for two of the most consistent combo decks (kiki and melira pod) that one of also contains the best enabler from another of modern's "problem combos" in kiki-jiki.
just buy 20 zen fetches and wait for modern season. Its going to get bloody out there
So is this Sunscape Familiar (http://imgur.com/QqHUhAp) a miscut? I've never quite seen a cut like that. If so, is it worth anything special?
gunslinga is right, this is just a card someone cut a chunk off of. you can tell because the wear on the corners is the same except the one that is missing
sealed cases are only worth more when it is booster boxes or tournament packs and even then its only for the older stuff (ABU and maybe a few after that)
for the most part, sealed cases of fixed list products (precons, FTV, theme decks, ect) sell for less than the sum of their parts as people buy them to resell
Is this a misprint or something that happens often with foiling? Referring to the line between text box and art.
It is a cut line in the foil sheets. its seen on WAAAAY to many cards to be worth anything.
Personally I avoid cards with cut lines like the plague. Its not pimp to have flawed pimp....
vamp tutor has no where to go but up. Its a cube/EDH/T1 staple and the only foil printing. I just traded for one for my cube about a month ago and couldnt believe it was still $50. I would snap buy 10 copies if I wanted something that was going to go up over the next year.
I have a bit of oddness, easy to explain without a pic. No miscut, just a card, with black boarders and a clean white face, and a normal MTG back. No ink, text, anything on the face, just black borders and that is it.
Test print card
one like you described fetches around $10
That seems like way too much, I would have guessed about $200 for the page? And that seemed generous.
Am I missing something here?
a single set of unplayable connectors goes for 150-250 depending on how old it is at a GP or gencon
i've never seen a set of 9 connectors before
the most was 5 and that went for 850 i think
I'm the same person who sent you a message on reddit about this but, In case you didnt get it, A single set of connectors goes for ~150-200. something like this should start around 1200 and just go up till someone stops handing you hundreds for it

But you don't need to be
The real issue here is the infinite deathblade

the ones i've seen on ebay have all been faked (cut sheets) but there may be some new ones out there
