Reflection is way better, it doubles mana that is already being doubled by cards like Mana Flare and doubles your rocks.
It doesn't quite work that way with Mana Flare. Mana Reflection only doubles the mana you get from tapping a permanent. Mana Flare doesn't modify the amount of mana a land produces, *it* adds an extra mana when a land it tapped. It's a triggered ability, not a replacement effect.
Going off RCarlysle, you can actually make out the contours of the taped/pasted printout if you look at the white marks. Or is that on all of Beta?
All cards printed in both Alpha and Beta have the little white dots in the corners and two distinct border shades. I believe the only cards in Beta that didn't have these marks are the ones that were accidentally left out of Alpha (i.e. Volcanic Island).
Rav/Time Spiral was also very diverse. Dragonstorm, Project X, Tron, Zoo, Junk, Mono Green Aggro, Scryb n' Force, Angelfire, UW Counter Post, Snow White, Mono Black Aggro, Solar Flare, ect. Almost every color, color combination and archetype was represented.
Holy Crap, I didn't realize some of the Legends Legends shot up so much. Glad I picked up all but three of them in english before the spike. Thankfully the ones I'm missing haven't really changed in price (Chromium, Ramirez DePietro and Xira Arien)
Actually, he does trigger with Kaalia. His ability triggers when he isn't blocked, not when he attacks. As long as he is an attacking creature (Kaalia makes him this, while circumventing his attacks alone clause) and he isn't blocked, you get the trigger.

4: Unlimited Timetwister (the back of the card has some damage, but the front of the card is in excellent condition. I got it for a really good price!)
I also have a decent amount of cards in the $100 to $200 range.
It almost never gets countered, the table loves it, and it throws a curve ball at the game state. Plus you get a fresh seven and mana to play with it.
...and if you're only getting six mana off of it, you're doing it wrong My play group would always prefer me casting Timetwister over Time Spiral any day.
Another thing that's fun to do with Wheel of Fortune and Timetwiser is to dump a bunch of mana rocks on turn one and then play a draw seven on turn two. It's a hilariously dirty way to potentially take people out of the game early.
I have a Bant Enchantress deck that I run out of [CARD]Jenara, Asura of War
[/CARD]. Outside of my commander, I have the Earthcraft/Squirrel Nest combo. If I have a dominant board position, I can drop Enchanted Evening and Opalescence to remove all lands from play and make it impossible to play more. Opalescence also combos with Parallax Wave to exile all of my opponents creatures. Add Parallax Tide to the mix and you can exile all of your opponents lands as well. I've also been able to win by funneling massive amounts of mana into a Sacred Mesa
You may want to reread the card. You don't get to choose anything, you have to discard your entire hand. He would be fantastic if his ability allowed you to choose how many cards to ditch.
You would use draw cards like Bloodgift Demon and Phrexian Arena of course. Malfegor would be your threat after you have discarded your opponent's entire hand.[/SIZE]
Malfagor makes them sac creatures, not discard cards. Any answers they were holding remain intact. Should they have an answer, congratulations, you've just Mind Twisted yourself. You also need to remember that his ability does nothing to decks that don't run many creatures. All in all, I think his drawback is way to steep to ever consider playing outside of an extremely casual group.
If you want to build a with a dragon theme, you could always go with Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund. Play ramp and some early control and then start dropping fatties in the mid to late game.
I don't recall saying that I asked them if it resolved or not.
You don't have to. What you have to do is literally say something like "Cast Omnicience, keeping priority" otherwise, it's always assumed that you immediatly pass after casting.
Quote from Official Rules »
Whenever a player adds an object to the stack, he or she is assumed to be passing priority unless he or she explicitly announces that he or she intends to retain it. If he or she adds a group of objects to the stack without explicitly retaining priority and a player wishes to take an action at a point in the middle, the actions should be reversed up to that point.
I meant to include "shortcut" somewhere in that. Posting from a phone can be a pain
The point still stands though, you have to give an indication that you are retaining priority. When your opponent tells you that your spell is still on the stack, you cannot just go "derp, I counter it lolz"
You countering your Omniscience was technically illegal because you didn't announce that you were retaining priority after casting your spell. Since a player wanting first response to his own spell is kinda rare, the rules assume you pass unless you announce otherwise. Since no one else responded, you wouldn't have had a chance to counter your own spell.

Ahh those were the days.
"Hey, you guys getting hungry?"
"Yeah, we'll grab food after we finish this game."
"Hurricane for 40. Let's go."
