Ok fixed the list, sorry guys. Is there a way to sort it better when it comes out of MTGO?
I'll tell ya how I did after a few of you put a list together. I'm not entirely sure what I was originally attempting (like a speed WR I guess) but let's see what you guys do.
I really couldn't decide between going WRb or WBr or even BRw. Blue had some nice things to add in but it didn't really fit the "tempo" I had available so I finally decided on WRb. Black/Green were basically a wash imho.
Is there a reason why I wouldn't want stop at every phase? You can just hit to continue I'm assuming...or is it laggy or something where I wouldn't want that?
Well, because my my card store locally screwed up the logistics for the Sealed event here today I decided to finally try MTGOnline and signed up. I'm going to attempt my first sealed event in a few hours.
Any helpful tips/suggestions? Things I should know about playing in general on MTGO? If it helps, I've played the Planeswalker games....
Had 3 Delver of Secrets in play fairly early, but they weren't flipping. My opponent was laughing saying that I clearly didn't have enough instants in play. He attacked with a few smaller guys.
Hmmm, I don't know. That removal from black helped a lot - Curse of Death's Hold is one major bomb that helped in several games. Disciple is actually pretty decent - some games I even got as high as 30 life from sacrificing guys they were trying to remove or I had to chump block with. It also helped trigger Morbid and feed the Cannibals (which you misplaced, it's a black creature - not a white creature).
I only saw the Army of the Damned also in one game, but I obviously won that one. It'd be pretty hard to put away such great removal, 2 huge bombs, and great creatures for blue....which really only has one removal (the other two are stalls) and although they may have more creatures, they don't help as much or come out as quickly. Going up two creatures isn't worth it when the creatures are *eh*. If I had anything better in there I'd have considered it..
I went 5-3 today at the Honolulu qualifer event locally and I thought I really had made an awesome deck and had a solid chance at top 8 but just got repeatedly mana screwed in two games. One game I did make a huge mistake though (I had 2 Dead Weight, 2 Brimstone Volley, 1 Tribute to hunger, 1 Slayer of the Wicked and 1 Swamp on the draw and I kept it....and saw no land for 6 turns) - learned the hard way to say goodbye to crazy hands if you have one land.
I know I was short on creatures, but army and unburial is kind of a creature and I had so much nice removal...most games I won handily. I only really got screwed by mana (drawing all 4 mountains and 1 swamp, white hand) or other horrendous plays (having to mulligan to 4 with no land, seeing someone do a total of 18 damage with a single Devil's Fury, etc).
Did I screw up? I could have maaaybe gone blue but just didn't think it beat white or black.
Ya, what I might do is just go back to my other wins and side the grudge/liquid against decks I know will have least some artifacts to aim at normally. Without the combo, it can be a dead draw. Maybe 2 Garruk and 2 Trepanation Blade (like the idea of killing cards AND land before they come out).
I think you're going to have some issues considering the real lack of "ramp". Part of the power of the deck is having twelve 1-drop mana dorks. You've only got 1 bird and 4 growths....you'll likely not be killing any land until turn 4.
My only issue with the Metamorph is that I don't want them to have anything - it's a waste most of the time, when I'd rather just have more LD. You can't cast much with zero land When I playtested it, I only found that I was copying my own slime/mayor when I had already basically won.
