So tasty. So there are a few locks that I really love in this deck. First is the obvious namesake of the deck: Pestilence-Guardian/Wall. Basically, wins games. How do we help raise the odds of getting this combo in place by a reasonable turn? Transmuting a House Guard. Perfect. One problem this deck faces is getting out-aggro'd and looking to having to face lethal Pestilence damage, but that's why the stupid life gain cards are there (Crossroads, Riftwatcher, and Renewed Faith), but they serve other purposes too.
The other lock that I like in here is the Augur of Skulls - Harvest/Burial. And these pieces can all be searched up by our friendly neighborhood Shred Memory (which, conveniently, has its own value against various other decks by killing stuff in the graveyard).
The rest seems somewhat to just kinda fall into place...
So I seem to be going about 50-50 in a lot of MU, and my games seem to almost always go to time, but I have yet to beat the Ub Mystical Teachings deck. They just have so much disruption that if I can somehow manage to land a Pestilence, they just tutor up a Doom Blade, an Agony Warp, or an Diabolic Edict to kill my guys.
Hey. So I've been playing on MODO on my machine for some time now, but now it's acting stupid to be honest. Basically, when I enter my information, I click connect and I sit there forever waiting for it to log me in. Sometimes, I wait for 18 mins+ and it does nothing, other times it tells me that my date/time may not be correct, but I sync that before I open the program!
I'm starting to get rather annoyed, and I tried submitting a report as suggested at the beginning of the thread, but that page isn't loading. I'm running Vista (yes, I know. Please don't make too much fun of me) and I have the latest SP and just finished updating my computer.
I'm thinking that maybe my router is blocking out the traffic to wizards, but I honestly don't know enough about that stuff to pretend to talk about it. Is there a way to tell if this is happening?
Sphinx of Jwar Isle: Best finisher in blue. Period.
Goblin Ruinblaster: Kills Alara Tri-lands, Man-lands, Dual-lands... amazing.
Aether Tradewinds: There's nothing more satisfying than bouncing a CIPT land enchanted with a SS and your SS.
Demolish: Can kill all of those pesky artifacts that don't require colored mana.
Roiling Terrain: Can help make the Sphinx's job easier.
Lavaball Trap: Worst case scenario, is a really expensive sweeper. Best case scenario, they have no more lands.
Convincing Mirage: Derp
Spreading Seas: Derp
Earthquake: Against Elves, Boros, RDW variants, which aren't quite so reliant on having vast amounts of land, a reset is pretty amazing.
Lightning Bolt: Derp.
Treasure Hunt: I'm a fan of something that is guaranteed to always give me one business spell. However, this is not the be all, end all of draw spells.
Crumbling Necropolis: the only CIPT land in the deck. I have never been sad to see this land. It relieves a lot of the strain on the manabase that would be there otherwise.
Dread Statuary: Considering that there are only 7 creatures, 3 of which will probably be doing significant amount of damage, a man-land won't hurt. However, they do produce :1mana:, rather than or :symr:, so I want to cap these out at 2.
Tectonic Edge: nice synergy with the blue enchants and the tradewinds (bounce the enchant and one of their lands, destroy the land that was enchanted, smirk at opponent).

So that said, any advice here?

Reasons:
Sideboard will depend on the meta. I'm thinking negates (Harrow hurts), Pithing Needle, Chandra Nalaar. Other than this, I'm running sorta blank. Maybe Into the Roil for silly tokens.
I'd also like to fit Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs into the 75, but where oh where would this ogre go?
Alright. All of this said... any suggestions?
