i dont see how blue can be caled "weak" when last standard season the top deck, faeries, was almost entirely blue. and on top of that the most expensive card in the block, cryptic command, was played in tons of thins, even if they werent primarily blue. i think the idea wizards has to is make each color where it needs the help of another to be at its full potential. thats why faeries had black in it and red decks ran green etc. just because we arent playing with counterspell, morphling, yaddi yaddi yadda doesnt mean that the color is totally dead.
i think the trick with this guy is to play him with intruder alarm. then when you counter a spell you get another token and untap all your dudes, so if they play another spell you counter it too. doesnt seem realistic but if it did happen it would be really annoying knowing that i would never get to cast a spell again.

agree....and my set up that i typed out was for the big hyped up decks from extended. the only card that was in your argument that is even played in those decks is path which really is just in tron, and they roll over to the goblin stradegy anyway i think
How many hits did Goblin get on the orb? Just subtract the amount of times goblin appears on Insitgator and then assume that the number will be about 75% of that number.
EDIT:
Orb showed 17 instances of "goblin". There are 2 on Insitgator. So 15. Assuming it shows up in rules text on a few cards and not just on the type line, there could be 10 other goblins. So 11 with this guy. I'm sure that's enough to make a half way decent Goblin deck.
thats 10 goblins, plus this guy, however many are in M10, plus dudes from shards...given the only playable gobliney card in shards i think is dragon fodder.

so lemme get this straight, in extended we go T1 mountain, chrome mox, instigator. they go artifact land/tron land/5c land (hypergenesis or dredge). we go mountain, chieftan, smash your face for 4, put in 2 siege-gang commanders. they have to answer 22 power of goblins AT LEAST or they lose....i got that right didnt i? so goblins are back in extended. woot. plus now they have earwig squad, cranial extraction, and thought hemerage to combat combo also. man im gonna love extended season this year!
she is deffinitely good in AIR in extended. consider what happens if you land her, discard a demigod, then draw into one off the draw affect or even the next turns draw step. if you cant win games making that play then its time to just stop i think.

this is WAY too powerful. buti can see it if you still had to pay the casting cost of teh spells. it would still be one of the strongest planeswalker abilities so far
being able to steel shapers gift as a landfall would be R-TARDED! just wanna throw this card out ther....harrow......2G sac a land go get two UNTAPPED lands then go find two equipment. the only saving grave to keep that from being broken is for there to be NO good equipment. that would suck even more. now enough devils advocate, if it is a landfall ability, and there are good equipment to go with him, he just became the jitte of this set. only now if you buy the intro pack u get a foil jitte
people seem to be forgetting that you can animate mutivault or the ne gargoyl castle thing and polymorph them into Ginormo dudes. BTW i think all you yould need to play is DSC. the other dudes are unneeded, he will win all by himself.
EDIT: polymorph says destroy.....you can totally target the colossus you have in play already and get another one
im sure that zen will have familiar creature types (i never bought in to pirates) but im sure also that there will be new aspects to the set too. fo instance if there were 5 mono colored dual decks relesed said to have cards from alara block they could send out things like oblivion ring. it doesnt cross over block machanics, and its still good in a white dual deck. plus if that info was leaked before the set was released it wouldnt tell you anything about it. so if they do let out zen cards in september then i dont think they will be anything groundbreaking as far as sowing off what the set does.

does this seem like it could fit the delve machanic back into standard? the concept of things eating dead things to get by (how i think of delve). if that is the case then maybe we will be seeing tomb stalker and death rattleesque cards in this block.
and i gotta be honest...the talk at worlds about poison kinda makes me tingle a lil bit inside (yes the pun was intentional). as does the _without_ line. i could totally see like maybe affinity without artifacts. so does anyone have any thoughts about any of that?
