It has been a long time sence I have posted about one of your(s) podcast.

FYI: YuGiOh was not owned by Upper Deck. They had the rights to produce the YuGiOh card game here in the states, and I think Canada not sure. But Konami is the owner of YuGiOh and did not renew the contract for Upper Deck to make the cards. Plus Konami accused Upper Deck of distributiing conferiet cards. That the story we heard, so alot of tournament support for the past couple of months was drop, until Konami gets things going again.
The new decks (Jace vs Chandra) are SRP $19.99. Sale prices will be different from stores or web sites. They are ready-to-play 60 card decks showcase some of the best control and burn cards from throughout fifteen years Magic history. They contains two mythic rare cards, six rares, and six cards with newly commissioned artwork, including foil alternative-art versions of Jace Beleren and Chandra Nalaar. So I believe you get 2 decks and maybe some are selling the decks seperate.
Some subjects would like to hear about is maybe more on the Cube and some Elder Dragon Highlander formats.
Would like hear some ideas on forming a Magic League. Formats, playing times and prize support. I remember many years ago Wizards support the Arena League. It was very popular when we got involved with Magic.
For closing your talks why not just say 'Good Game.'
But the Pre Release change has been interesting. We did not attend any events. There use to be one big event in the nearby city, about 1 hour and a half away from us. But not this time.
So we did not go. I will miss the 'Event' more than anything else.
It is like the best promotional tool Wizards had. Get players excited about a new set 2 weeks before it came out. And most of them look more forward to the actual release.
From what I have read from a different Forum there were winners and loser in the retail and TOs. Most players were happy with it being closer, but they were not happy with the prize payout.
Big discussion about how Wizards gave strick guidelines to the prize support.
Most stores did ok. Some I understand the were no happy with the outcome.
What that could mean is either sales, attandence, etc.
Would like to see some information posted by Wizards of the Coast on how well this last weekend did overall.
I guess we will have to see what happens on the next set.
Hopefully this Wizards Play Network works out for everybody.

Best Pre Release was actually for my son. It was his birthday and it was Betrayers of Kamigawa. He had the most awesome card pool. Kokusho, Thief of Hope, Kira the Glass-Spinner and two Ninja of Deep Hours and some other stuff. He was not going blue, but I told him to change it with the Ninja's and Kira. Well it work out very well for him. He won 4-0 and actually split the final round with 14+ packs. Now if he could do a repeat but the Pre Releases have not fallen on his b-day yet.
I started to listen with the live feed, but I had business to take care and I relisten to it today.
Like everybody else the sound was not the best, but over all it work out okay.
Why do I play Magic TG?
It all started with Pokemon, back when Fossil came out and WOTC still own the rights to print the cards in the US. My second son and I played all the time, we even road a bus from the middle of Texas to Long Beach CA to play on the Queen Mary. Now that was a trip and a story onto itself. I learn Magic from a friend who I taught how to play Pokemon. It was during Invasion block, that I decide to keep playing Magic. When WOTC lost or drop, I really don't know what happen but they(WOTC) were not printing and supporting the Pokemon card game anymore, so I decide to play more Magic. I still have about 13+ original decks of Pokeman, mainly from WOTC printings. It's a fun game that you can make different decks with the biggest card pool selection. I also like playing Sealed and Drafts.
I like to listen to your show because it keeps me in the loop of what's going on in the world of Magic TG. I also watch The Magic Show and the Proffesors. I spend alot of time on all of the major web sites, like this one, magicthegathering, Starcity, TCGplayer, and POJO. Plus I live in a small town in the middle of Texas. We have a nice size player base, but I am the one who keeps up with the majority of new information going on outside of our little town.

I have two favorite promo foils, Damnation, because it was basically free from WOTC. Playing in 20 tournaments and it does not matter how well you did, you just have to show up and play and receive and nice card(s) in the mail.
My other promo foil I got from a guy a couple years back. I did not know I had it until a few months ago. He had collected Serra Angels, there was about 30+ in a small box and there was one that was foil but it had the original art on it. So I check around, online of course, it is a original artwork foil Serra Angel. I am still trying to find out what was it given out for? It has the illus. Douglas Shuler, c1993-1999 Wizards of the Coast, Inc.
Our FNM in our small part of the World of Magic, those decks do not exist.
I guess we are the 'Red Necks' of Magic. Most are tribal, with Kithkin, Giants, and Elementals running all over the place. Elves and goblins show up every now and then, but Faeries have not been played sense Lorwyn came out. The only combo that has not showed up is Reveillark, thank goddness, because I would have to explain how it actual works.
Anyways. I have some videos on YouTube called Friday Night Magic # with deck I played with on FNM. Check em out.
I like the Double-strike. It always confuse players on how it actually works. Double-strike and trample, fun times.
Faeries did very well at the PTQ I attend in San Antonio, Tx.
There was 124 players for the PTQ. Dredge deck won it against a Faerie deck
2 decks made the top 8. They were a basic standard build.

Should ask players how many different cards game they played.
Also if you ever get a chance to do a 'Wacky Draft' it is really fun.
Basically you can use only one pack from each set, for example with a 8 player draft you will need 24 different packs from different sets.

There is over 1100+ in Vienna and 970 at Philadelphia.
There is not alot of money to win and I know there is the top 16 invites to the next Pro Tour. But that's alot of players to play.

I have no real favorite foreign card, I have a few, like Buschland. I also have about 25+ unopen paks of Tierras Natales.
I think the Extended format changing once a year is a great idea also.
But will it appeal to new players?
