So I obliged him with a nice big target to replicate in the form of thornling. True to form he untaps, draws, plays a land, and kicks the rite targeting the thornling.
So I untap, draw, make the thornling indestrutible, and then maelstrom pulse it.

I'm very new to the deck but I've been playing a mono-red control deck for a while. I had been using Goblin Ruinblaster in the sideboard but he never really made me happy. Roiling Terrain however, was a replacement that I never second guessed. He has the same cost as GRB and can really hurt decks running a lot of fetchlands.

That is one big dude...He seems pretty game changing once he hits play, and especially if he gets to attack.
In respect to flavor, I find it kind of funny that the "Seemingly unstoppable world eating parasite titans of aether" can be stopped by a Path to Exile. I might be thinking of this wrong, but a 12/12 for 10cmc is dealt with by a 1cmc instant. But none the less, this cards great!
Also, i just checked the price for Eye of Ugin, and its $13. This is the first time I've checked its price, but has it always been this expensive? Or is the change because of this guy?

My opponent attacks with a 0/1 Plant creature equipped with Quietus Spike and I do not block.
Does the Plant cause me to lose half my life?
Im assuming it assigns 0 damage, which is basically no damage, so Spike wouldn't trigger.

Before M10 came out, i would regularly attend a weekly Standard tourney which was basically FNM. This is at a store just outside Boston, MA. One week, I went down to Savannah, Georgia to visit my brother at college. There was a small store that ran a free FNM standard tourney so i decided i might as well go and see how the meta is outside Boston. I destroyed them. This place had the slowest meta I've seen yet. I started T2 when shards came out, so i was still relatively new with mediocre deck building skills. DOn't get me wrong though, the players were smart and new how to play the game well, but their decks were made for a very slow meta. SO i think the meta in ones area definatley affects the difficulty of their FNM.

In order to include Loam Lion, the mana base would need a lot of change. I tried testing with only a slightly altered mana base that ha just a few more basics, and it failed. Loam Lion was hard to pull off early enough for him to be effective. He is much worse than Wild Nactal late game (surprisingly, the 1 extra power makes a noticeable difference)

most likely a far inferior build to whats been conceived so far. i must say that i really like naya, even though i am much more of a control player at heart, i still really like the silly 3rd turn bloodbraid and thoctar plays off a cobra. following it up the next turn with a baneslayer. i'm not sure yet what to replace with the loam lion, probably the cobra, the only thing i don't like is that the lion doesn't get pumped by oran-rief, and its always fun to kill someone with a mana snake.
I tested a little bit with Loam Lion, but enough to know that I didn't like him. Most of the time I didn't have a plains or forest to play him early or effectively enough. When I did play him later in the game, he was really weak.
The mana base will need a lot of changes in order to accompany Loam Lion. I tested with Verdant Catacombs to help pump the lion, but when you dont have him out and your in need of a red/white source and you draw a green fetch, it sucks.
On another note, I really like the idea of including that Dragonmaster Outcast, I'm still deciding if he is better or not, but I'm leaning towards his side.
Pros of including Dragonmaster Outcast over Scute Mob:
1) Haveing 5/5 fliers is really nice because Naya lacks evasion. This means hes better against Vampires and other flying decks that hurt us
2) If he goes off once, the oponent can either take out your dragon, in which case you get another one next turn, or he can take out the Outcast, in which case you have a 5/5 flier (win win situation)
3) Scute mob is easily stopped by a simple chump block
Cons of including Dragonmaster Outcast over Scute Mob:
1) Scute mob, after 2 tirggers, is a threat to Baneslayer Angel. My opponents don't wan't to block it and lose their baneslayer. Also, he can become an effective wall against large opposing creatures
2) Outcast requires one more land to activate, and it could be too late by then (not super likely though)
3) Outcast can not stop Baneslayer (scute mob sometimes is a threat to her)
If Vampire's is are biggest threat, then I think of including Dragonmaster Outcast should replace Scute Mob. Worldwake did, however, bring in a lot of red hate, so he could lose effectiveness in thoes match-ups.

I really do not like Naya honestly. It is not as good as legacy or even extended zoo because the duals are not land types. That really hurts Nactal and loam lion. I decided to use a goblin guide mix with nactal and i believe it works pretty good.
Do you have a decklist?
I've found Wild Nacatl very good, I have yet to play him as a 1/1 past turn 1. He is consistently a 2/2 or 3/3, so for what T2 has to offer, I have to disagree with what you said.
Also, Goblin Guide seems to fast for LS as it's a mid-range deck. It also would clog up the 1cc slots if you keep Noble Hierarch and Wild Nacatl, or at least difficult to play.
I run the basic list just with a different SB. So far, it really feels like G/W with a big splash of red, but I guess it works pretty damn good. The only problems with mana have been getting more than one source of red.

When I try to add the WWK set, it tells me that "Current grid must be MASTER-like type." Can anyone help me out or give an in-depth walk-through on installing the patch?
Edit: Never mind, I'm not sure what I did but i got it to work.

Like what? BSA? Have you not seen Abyssal Persecutor? And look at the tribes! Vamps are quite obviously the best tribe printed in years, while the Kor kinda look like a sad combination between Auriok and Soltari (TSP Kor all had shadow). Don't say white is getting "so much" when it clearly isn't quite enough to hold back black/red (yet).

Well MTG is for 13+ year olds, so we should be keeping it PG-13.
Also, i really hate when people call it walletslayer, we all know its expensive so you dont have to keep stating the obvious
