Tezz's price has sharply dropped in price, probably because none of the new spoilers have any synergies with Tezz. There are few good artifacts in this set, essentially killing off any hope of breaking Tezz.
Does this mean Tezz is dead? No more Tezz decks post-rotation?
Past of Flame is awesome good. In Philly Pro-tour, there were at the very least 4 decks in the top 16 (including Jon Finkel cheap awesome deck), and 5 in top 32 that would use it without a doubt. Talking about "playable cards"
Saying it's not good becouse it's not Yawgmoth's Will is like if WotC print a "Grey Lotus" that cost 1 and gives 2 of any color and people complaint becouse Black Lotus is better.
There's a difference between "not sure if this is playable in any format" and "this belongs in every vintage deck," ie the difference between Flame and Yawg.
Past in Flames is not playable in its current state. We're talking dollar-bin mythic here. Yawg's will is amazing because it lets you cast 0cmc and alternative casting costs from your graveyard, including things like LED, Black Lotus, and Force of Will. Flames costs 1 more, only includes sorceries and instants, and doesn't let you pay alternative costs.
I think what he means is that you can't flash Snapcaster Mage into play against an aggro deck and then ponder during your opponent's turn. So, you either play Snapcaster like a sorcery and then cast ponder, or surprise your opponent with snapcaster and get the ETB bonus on an instant.
If you look, they take up more ink than the recent cards. That was the whole reason they changed to the "new" borders in the first place--to save ink/money.
It wouldn't even have been anything particularly new. Red occasionally gets similar cards, like Recoup and Surreal Memoir.
Yes, but the problem with that is that Snapmage is much, much, much better than both of those cards. Combined.
Snapcaster:
1) Is a 2/1 at instant speed in addition to its ETB ability.
2) Instant speed, as opposed to recoup/surreal's sorcery speed.
3) Can target both instants and sorceries.
If Recoup was instant speed and could target instants/sorceries, they'd be about the same, since snapcaster is a 2/1 and Recoup has flashback. But the way Recoup and Surreal are right now, nobody is going to play them in any decks. Especially when you have the option of running Snapcaster.
If I have Laboratory Maniac and Obstinate Familiar out with no cards in my library, does the opponent have to kill both or just one card to win?
I guess what I'm confused about is, when does it trigger? And does it trigger multiple times?
If I would draw a card, I can win the game or not draw, right? So, if I choose to draw, can my opponent use removal on Lab Maniac and have me lose, or can I then choose not to draw the card because of Obstinate Familiar? This is all a little confusing @_@

No dude, this card still sucks in comparison to Snapcaster. Again, this won't be used in Vintage or Legacy at all.

I'd say this on the same level as Recoup.
There is exactly one card between Curse of the Bloody Tome and Deranged Assistant, and Deep Analysis fits!
Hmm...

Instant
As an additional cost to cast Into the Furnace, sacrifice a permanent.
Add RRR to your mana pool.
Waste makes haste.
Sorry if you wanted me to keep my area of complaint narrow. Let me rephrase my post:
All these great mechanics, and all going to blue. Snapcaster
Really? What does red have so far? Into the Maw of Hell? lol.
