Sorry if this is a bit off topic, but does anyone know of some alternate art for Insectile Aberration that I could proxy out (to represent flipped Delvers)?
There's the checklist cards from Innistrad as an option.
Negate is simple but powerful. Its a card I always consider it for my U/X sideboards in modern. Its usefulness will vary depending on what your metagame looks like.
Recently, many people at my LGS have picked up burn. While it isn't impossible to win, I was looking for some sb cards to improve the matchup.
Any suggestions?
Sorry, I am on my phone right now so I don't have my list available. I will post it when I get home.
Nature's Claim in the sideboard is a great choice. Blowing up one of your own artifacts has kept me in the game numerous times.A one of Thragtusk in the sideboard can help.
I like the idea of using it with doubling season effects. Im currently testing him in Azusa. Multiple bodies are always nice the only issue ive been having with him is the lack of trample
Hi guys I was wondering on your thoughts on mutagentic growth? It seems good as you can continue to apply pressure by dropping more creatures and still have a pump spell to use. Has aspect of hydra been that good?
I'm mixed but leaning toward positive on Nissa. Her first ability makes a decent sized creature but you can't target your opponents land to use as land destruction like you could with Koth. It also doesn't untap the land so you need to have 6 lands to have protection. On the positive note 4/4 is decently sized and there's some elemental support. Her second ability is what makes her excellent. It works well with enchantments like Vernal Bloom and Mana Reflection. It also is able to untap shocklands and duels so she isn't just limited to Mono Green and you can even be political and untap other peoples forests. Her ultimate I love because it can end the game in two ways. The first is just grabbing all the basics in your deck and cast something big the following turn and the second is just swinging with the team. A wrath would suck but you can play around that. Overall I think Nissa will definitely see play just for the untap and the ultimate.
I picked up tron a few months ago and its my go to deck for modern and its been easy to pick up. Practice and read up on the other decks in the format. For R/G tron, I found the worst matchups are stuff like storm and twin which you don't interact with too well.
I also basically skipped my turn at my own choosing by choosing to destroy lethal vapors only to have someone put a regeneration shield on it with reknit. Not sure if it was bad luck or a stupid play. Looking back I thought it was brilliant.
I've also watched people let a combo go off because they were board of the game instead of just leaving the game. I don't understand the thinking behind this.
The last one was someone had Remand on an Isochron Scepter and someone kept trying to resolve the same Tooth and Nail over and over instead of trying something else.

I've also played cards like Dosan the falling leaf and City of Solitude in mono green decks and basically just help the combo player next turn.

Tarmogoyf has a higher chance of being reprinted.
I wouldn't do the trade personally but if you need the Tarmogoyfs that bad then by all means go ahead
Just my 2 cents.
I also like Combust and Nature's claim to fight it
