Store played one round. Closed afterward while we saw product in full view. Good going. Not going back to that location and they lost themself a customer.
Worst part, phonecalls to other places looking for game were doing the same thing.
I highly doubt they had to pay WotC for the product, so why are so many stores in my area closing shop so early?
Pretty sure, they didn't pay for the product and they should of ran events until all the product was gone.

Splendid Genesis is one of the rarest cards created by Richard Garfield. He created 110 copies of this particular card, handing it out only to close friends and highly-regarded Wizards of the Coast employees. The card itself was made to celebrate the birth of Richard's first child. Consequently, the intention and rarity of this item make it an extremely rare and valuable part of Magic's rich history.

When literally no one is playing control anymore, no day, no terminus, we saw grixis but I still believe esper decks are the right choice for control decks. Infect crushes, control and ramp decks, the match up favors infect by a huge margin. Really don't know how this GW deck made it to the finals in a field of Pod decks that do much more powerful things than just a GW aggro deck can do. I guess he was running good? Sometimes you just dodge all the poor match ups and get there.

If you can't make it to FNM, how would you make it to a championship?
Through the Pro tour if your talking about the world championships. If your talking about the magic world cup, all you had to do was qualify through PWP at FNM, GP's, GPT, PT and win your qualifier to get on the national team.

Gotta give some mad props to his opponent for not falling for it either. I wonder if he suspected something was going down or if he was just sticking to his routine.
The Kuo is a high level player, 9 top8's at Grand Prix's, he probably just does this everytime he plays against someone, which everyone should do and shuffle your opponents deck after a search or present or whatever. I'm also sure he knew what was up, after the first path and not searching after getting his champ cliqued to the bottom. Then getting path'd again, clearly knowing no more basics in the deck, searches for one card and puts it on the bottom, then doing the shuffle, blah blah, then Kuo shuffles his deck. I'm sure Kuo knew something didn't feel right, but based on his routine he does this all the time, no matter who he is playing.

You mean an individual and a team worlds event? Pretty sure they did that for a long time.
Wizards has clear motives with how they changed organized play. I think they went a bit far but its their decision. They want people to buy and play Magic on a regular basis at their approved stores. They want people to be rewarded for the time they put in with the upper echelons opening up to them. Previously Nationals was a closed event, now all you have to do is get an average of 3 wins at 50 FNMs (in the highest threshold countries) and you can play in your country's "Nationals" and try to be on your country's national team.
Do I think they should be more choosey with who gets to play, sure, but its their game and they can decide to do it their way.
To me it should be a open championship to anyone, cuz some people don't go to 50 or even half their FNM cuz of work or other things they can't control. Why keep it closed when the open audience to anyone who can play would be a bigger number and make more $. We wanna see a good felt story or just LSV vs Kibler finals which would be sweet but from time to time it would be cool to see a average joe/grinder take on a pro.

If you're not going to play Bonfire, just play Bant.
The other red cards aren't worth the manabase headaches
Zealous isn't worthless, it untaps pod and can curve you into titan and Norn. Huntmaster is a card, but I'm saying move the bonfires to the side and add in more threats or lands?
