Let's say in a situation I have to Oblivion Ring my opponent's Avacyn, Angel of Hope. There's also a Razor Boomerang on the field. The next turn my opponent Chaos Warp my Oblivion Ring. Chaos Warp resolves and flips over Oblivion Ring. When I put Oblivion Ring into play, does that mean the 1st O-Ring leave the battlefield trigger hasn't resolved yet, so I can only target Razor Boomerang?
I thought the singing rats commercials was beginning of the end for Quiznos. Absolutely hated it and stopped going to Quiznos afterwards. Still have Subway, Jimmy Johns, Which Wich, and Jersey Mikes near my area. Barely anyone goes to our local Quiznos.
Last time, a few deep-pocketed individuals early in the line bought out the entire stock available, then put up their near-monopoly holdings on EBay.
Not sure where you heard this from because it was limit 2 per customer last year. A few individuals definitely wasn't able to buy out "the entire stock" as it was still available for sure on Thursday and I believe Friday as well. Although each day's allocation ran out pretty quickly, within 3-4 hours if I recall.
As for the eBay listings, a lot of the listings are technically presales from people who don't have it in hand yet but are confident enough that they will get one eventually.
The people with the near-monopoly easily got others to buy it to bypass the 2 person limit.
I've always felt Deed is a pretty fair bet for a standard reprint, so I think it has a pretty limited price ceiling in any case. Throw in the fact that the state of Legacy has made the card significantly less reliable (tons of delver decks with Dazes and Spell Pierces, decks with Planeswalkers, Abrupt Decay everywhere), and I think it's safe to say that Deed was never going to carry a really high value going forward. I think it will be <$15 even in the long, long term.
They already "reprint" Deed in standard as a lesser but fixed version. Gaze of Granite which sees no play.
The slippery slope discussion could be quickly ended by simply taking a look at the Duel Commander ban list. That ban list is pretty well balanced for the most part, and though it's not optimized for multiplayer, there is a lot we can learn from it. While Sol Ring and Mana Crypt are obviously banned there, so are Mana Crypt and Grim Monolith. That's where the slope ends, though I even have my doubts about Grim Monolith.
When we talk about Crypt and Ring, we're talking about Power. While they're not part of the Power 9, they might as well be in terms of actual power. In some cases, Black Lotus is better, and in other cases Mana Crypt is better, but these cards are power nonetheless. That's why it's not a slippery slope, and that we'll keep trying to ban the best card. These cards are in a class of their own. Not only that, but the slope ends with Grim Monolith at the very furthest, but in my personal opinion I think Sol Ring, Crypt and Vault are sufficient.
Another great point that was brought up was that artifacts should let other colors do certain things but for a steeper price. What is the price of Sol Ring ramp in green? It has to allow you to tap for two additional mana and not cost you card advantage... So I suppose Skyshroud Claim? Four times the cost? If anyone can find a cheaper spell, let me know, I might actually be missing one.
Do they not ship in top loaders? I picked up both foil Angel of Serenity and Explore in separate orders and they were not in any top loaders, but were supposed to be in between 2 cardboard pieces inside a letter envelope. Both times, they came out loose. Angel of Serenity got cut up and Explore almost suffered.
Well you could pay 3 for vanilla 2/2 for 2B for 3/2 with upside that's not affected by turning face up.

I see the French banned list as a joke. They banned Ancient Tomb, Oath of Druids, Grindstone, Mana Vault, Loyal Retainers, Top, Tabernacle, etc. Fastbond is totally okay though.
Why would Terese Nielsen lie about getting basic lands from WoTC created from a painting she did?
