I'd go into Naya colors. If you've got a decent land base you'll be fine.
I only say this because Ulasht, the Hate Seed has been a card I've wanted to build a deck around for a long time. Plus in Naya colors you can play Rith, the Awakener, and who doesn't like a fat dragon which poops out saprolings?
Also, make sure to include Saproling Symbiosis the coolest saproling card ever in my opinion! Good luck, make sure to share what you make here!
The Sideboard I see for Jund is:
+4 Celestial Purge
+4 Goblin Ruinblaster
+4 Great Sable Stag
What do you take out?
I saw that Coimbra sided out Paths, and Ranger of Eos. so I'm thinking maybe he also took out the Scute, but he still has to take out 3 of something. What would you have taken out?
Other than Giant Trap Door Spider already setting what a trap door spider does (ish), this is pretty nifty. I think Traps are a little narrow in general, but I could see this as a set-specific card. It needs reach (standard trait of a spider).
My card (2nd attempt):
Shimmerbug 1G
Creature - Insect
Flash
If U wasn’t spent to cast Shimmerbug, it has “Sacrifice Shimmerbug at the end of turn.”
Sacrifice Shimmerbug: Counter target spell that targets a creature you control.
2/3
I think it should be 1U with G as the cost to keep it around. From a flavorish perspective, you get a 1U 2/3 which can block/counter a spell, and if you put some life magic in it, it can stick around.
That'd be vicious if played right. Imagine casting x3 lightning bolts for just :symr:! Maybe increase its cc a little more?
Spell rift:2mana::symu:
Instant
Choose one - Counter target spell; or return target permanent to it's owner's hand.
More options for one card is always fun.
I think this should be UUU or 2UU. Cancel is already a hard counter for 1UU, which seems to be the standard for hard counters nowadays. making 2U for a counter/Bounce seems like it'd be walking off the path that has already been set.
Trapdoor Spider3G
Creature - Spider
Whenever a player casts a Trap spell, put a +1/+1 counter on Trapdoor spider.
As long as Trapdoor spider has a +1/+1 counter on it, it has Shroud
1/2
I play a Pyromancer's Ascension deck on MODO, the biggest weakness, is against Jund, all your removal is two for 1n'd with every creature = blightning against control is painful.
Against other decks you will be sad too. White decks side in Celestial Purge GG. Blue has Into the Roil main before PA gets enough counters GG. RDW might not be a bad matchup I haven't played it.
I think it has potential should a decent counterspell be added in Worldwake.
In reality, if Kibler hadn't missed the angel of despair trigger at PT Austin, this wouldn't have been a DQ.
It seems to me as if Wizards wanted to ensure everyone that they had it covered. I'm not saying thats bad, they have a responsibility to enforce the rules that they write.
I am saying that the rule is bad. If it is the responsibility for both players to uphold the game state then both players should be DQ'd for not taking the time to read the card. It rewards punishes you for playing a complicated deck, it punishes you if your opponent has poor knowledge of the game and you miss something. Because it is "your" deck, the judges are going to come down on you.
I just feel like the way it is enforced now just punishes your play mistakes more than it catches cheaters. Gindy ASKED why his opponent didn't assign damage, why ask if you just cheated? If you drew from the bottom of your deck and didn't get caught, you wouldn't ASK your opponent why he wasn't watching closely enough.
I don't think this combo works because the damage happens after the equipment is unattached due to the creature being put into the GY.
Fleshbag Marauder
Gatekeeper of Malakir
Heartstabber Mosquito
Khalitas, Bloodchief of Ghet
Royal Assassin
Non-black Removal:
Doom Blade
Executioner's Capsule
Hideous End
-X/-X Removal:
Disfigure
Blister Beetle
Drag Down
Sweepers:
Infest
Marsh Casualties
Conditional Removal:
Wretched Banquet
Assassinate
Halo Hunter
Feast of Blood
Deathmark
Bone Splinters
Dealing Damage:
Tendrils of Corruption
Consume Spirit
Sorin Markov

To be fair, Kibler mentioned the incident in the interview while still holding the trophy.
