Does Eidolon make playing Vexing Devil along side it bad? Because when if for example you draw devil and cast it after Eidolon is in play, you lose 2 life and your opponent would lose 2 life killing it if they decided to leave it in play.
Or is that good, because Eidolon pressures your opponent to take the 4 damage instead? Sure there will be situations were the 2 life is more important, but I guess I'm wondering if Eidolon of the Great Revel makes Vexing Devil more playable in the lategame.
- When I first saw EGR(Eidolon) I thought Flame Rift might become too heavy for the deck to play, anyone else agree?
- Also to ppl who plan on bringing burn to a tourney soon after Eidolon is released, you should be weary of Leyline of Sanctity getting a temporary boost in popularity if ppl fear it enough and expect an increase in Burn decks. This counters my Flame Rift suggestion, but Rift is definately overly damaging against Delver especially if Eidolon is in play.
- For those wanting to play 4 EGR in the main, do you think you'll play less storm hate in the SB? Mindbreak Trap?
I like it, I would play 1 ofs when certain decks were popular in the field just to getem in game1. Relics during RUG Delver season, Bridge during SnT, Searing blood has it's advantages in a non sac land build and gets the job done more consistently against what you're mainly fighting against in Delver, Stoneforge, Confidant, etc... BUT, when you face other creatures that survive the 2 damage you're playing 4 dead cards in the main that won't hit the player, which is something Searing Blaze DOES do. Other small advantages of Blood are being able to get around Leyline of Sanctity, but few small critter decks even SB them.
Nothing wrong with 8x IMO, especially if it is a fast combo and blue/x control meta.
8x in the main is insanity, Burn plays spells that do a set a damage while other decks play cards that can attack multiple times. A Delver that got played slow will trigger off Eidolon or Pillar and if it flips and attacks 3x times it deal 9 damage and shocked it's player for casting it once. But for burn to deal 9 damage it would be 3x bolts and shock us 3 times. Maybe Pyro effect 5-6 out of the SB in pillars is good against storm/etc..., maybe not, we've never had access to more than 4 before so it will need testing.
I'm gonna snap in 4x Eidolon of the Great Revel into my maindeck so fast. It's so good against everything!
Pyrostatic Pillar is good since it only gets destroyed by a handful of spells, but Pyro Doll pressures your opponent w/ attacking and forces them to find an answer while Pillar just sits there.
Can I get some opinions on Clique in the main, mainly about actually having the mana to cast it. Since it's double blue and Cavern of Souls#1 will likely name Merfolk, #2 if not needed for double blue lords can then name Wizard. Add to that 4x Mutavault and double blue on a non merfolk seems sketchy.
Yall should try out 4 Bloon Moons main to hurt all the 3 color decks and tron at the same time.
Running 4 Bridge, 4 Prisons, + tons of mass removal is crazy
Where is your game enders? Planeswalkers are slow and low impact. Ajani Vengeant +1 isn't really takin advantage of when your opponent can't even TAP w/ creatures so you just end up taxing their mana and hoping they don't topdeck burn to kill it off so you can kill their lands. It's slow and doesn't end the game if you aren't doing anything else.
I'd recommend Baneslayer Angel be at least a 3 of in this w/ some boros signets to keep the white mana up if you run main blood moons. And run more plains.
Stormbreath Dragon or Batterskull both are nice at 5 mana, represent a kill, gainlife or are anti PTE. Having a fatty in play is still good against aggro.
How valuable has Azorius Arrester been for you? In my mind it is competing against Daring SkyJek, the +1 power and soft evasion or soft removal.
In your opinion should the deck aim for evasive damage in Skyjeks and Ajani -3 for dbl strike flying or aim for consistency on the ground and create problems for blockers. Desecration demon and Nightveil Specter are both popular and mono blue even has 2 more flyers to block it. In my mind arrester slightly takes the edge when you look at the meta, but what are your opinions?
EDIT:Murder Investigation is a card worth looking into for the SB against Mono Black or Control. Rootborn Defences would still have more advantages, but if you wanted to have more than 4+ answers to removal in the SB, it might be worth it.
I got other plans so I won't be meeting my group and testing my Grixis deck out.
Here is a quick list I thought up, needs a manabase, I would be grateful to whoever makes one for it. Rakdos return just doesn't mix well w/ the deck, I am trying to push the deck to have an edge against the field and might be too focused on Aetherling being that I want it as a 4 of. It's just so good. Wasn't happy with any planeswalkers, Zarek I think could fit in, but there are just so many 4+ toughness critters out there.
Stop ruining my online Magic experience, you messed up MTGO over and over and over, now you destroy the mothership, STOP IT!!!
EDIT: ALL my links are dead!?@@#%$^&*&^%$#@

Also Fallout has always felt pointless to me.

It will probably be more suited for Red Devotion or red sligh if it sees play in standard.
It will be good in standard, but there is competition in the 2drops for red and it's meh against too much of the field.
I think at best for the current meta, it's a SB card against U-Devotion and Wx-Aggro. Using it for Mono Red mirrors is just a Double Edged sword.
Stuff like Oboro, Palace in the Clouds isn't restrictive, but creates the drawback of hurting us because of stuff like Blood Moon or Tectonic Edge which are more popular than Choke.

- Similar Manacost Opinions of Sower of Temptation, Kira, Great Glass-Spinner, & Threads of Disloyalty.
Also opinions on 2-3 Cavern are welcome.

Sylvan Caryatid into Kiora T3 sounds amazing.
