Thank you for the reply! I can tell what you mean somewhat. I think I want to drop the curve a little bit, take out the purphoros and the dragons and put some more on the lower end. Big creatures seem to be a bit of an issue but maybe that will be better if I can be faster?

Just from a few practice games I can tell that I want more Savage Knuckleblades. I'm not sure if it should be a Purphoros, God of the Forge and some Stormbreath Dragons, or something else. If you guys have any suggestions on this feel free. The mana has not been an issue at all so far and I have played about 10 practice hands with the current setup here. Few times kill on turn 4 goldfish so it can be pretty freaking aggressive, while still having some late game play with Keranos, God of Storms, Military Intelligence, and even the Savage Knuckleblades.

What if the reason that Ghostfire was colorless was because Ugin was dead? Therefore Ugin still is red of some sort but his magic was being driven through the spirit world making it colorless at the time. If we get an Ugin Planeswalker it will be during the "go back in time" set for Khans where he is fully alive and in the flesh. His artwork is similar to Bolas for good reason. WOTC wants Ugin to feel like an equal to Bolas, and his "Big Good Guy" roll would fill out nicely. Equal to bolas intelligence (blue), and power (red), but his opposite in motive (black for Bolas).
Using all of this information, I would say that Ugin could possibly be a W/R/U Planeswalker to be our new awesome behind the scenes good guy counter to Bolas.

Sarkhan will forever be able to ferocity. Also, Illusory Angel. And WOW! did they really make Riptide Chimera a 3/4 just so it wouldn't trigger Temur Ascendency every turn?

I'm curious why no one is attempting to evaluate this card for formats other than Standard. This card is beyond a bomb in Limited.
Everything is good in Limited. You can't choose what you open in packs or what is passed to you so you play what you get. If you see this, and you are in blue you probably take it. That's all there is too it.

Making your opponents reconsider attacking with all of their creatures, making them choose a few, is still are advantage. Important to know where card advantage is and how you can use it. It's just like poker; it's all in the bluff. If you have open mana and your opponent thinks you have this, they'll be likely to swing with only one or two guys. But that alone makes there game plan weaker and puts you in a better position to deal with them.
It doesn't matter what choices your opponent has to make when you reach 5 mana when your dead after the 4th turn.
I don't think I have ever been dead on the fourth turn in standard. Are you sitting across from a goldfish who isn't doing anything until turn 4 and just letting you beat them in the face? If this spell is the first one you play of the game you should have taken a mulligan.
It's 5 mana, It's Instant speed, You can play it after Desecration Demon (for a short time anyways) And follow it up with a soul of New Phyrexia or Elspeth or w/e bomb you play in whatever color. Tapping out on turn 4 for wrath is actually pretty bad in standard as it is. Most control players wait until they can wrath with 3 mana up for Dissolve right now. This being instant speed means you can do it whenever you want and choose how much value you get out of it. If you play this in mono blue you drop a master on turn 4, and on turn 5 you whipe their board and now you have 2 maybe 3 turns to kill them before they can come back. That is so much time!
B/G devotion is already a thing guys. Are you forgetting about nykthos? You could probably get this guy out on turn 3 with a burning tree draw and a turn 2 caryatid.

Does everyone realize that his ultimate is identical to ashiok? She comes down a turn sooner (although without any loss of loyalty they both ultimate on the same turn), can recover her loyalty faster than jace, is good against creature decks and control decks, and permenently exiles the cards instead of putting them back into their library for them to draw again. Playing an ashiok on turn 3 when it is more likely safer to tap out is a lot more appealing to me than playing this jace on turn 4 and +1.
Ashiok doesn't draw you 7 cards on his/her ultimate.
yeah she kind of does... everything you exile with her can be played with her and she doesn't kill herself to ultimate by default. If you have protected her long enough to ultimate, I am pretty sure you can protect her long enough to gain card advantage out of her - ability. Actually... I think everytime I have ultimate ashiok the player has just scooped. Thats way better than a Time Spiral for 4 mana and 4 turns of doing nothing.

I can absolutely see this as properly replacing JAoT in forthcoming U/W/x control builds. His +1, while no mini Fact or Fiction, produces card advantage while protecting himself- the exact opposite of JAoT. Considering that I almost never +1 JAoT out out of the gate anymore, I welcome a Jace that protects himself better then the last one by having a loyalty of 5, a +1 that 90% of the time you'll prefer to use upon resolution, and -3 that bounces while still leaving him at a sturdy enough loyalty.
His +1 provides no CA at all (other wise it'd actually be okay). You "scry 1.5", but don't draw.
So drawing a card isn't card advantage.
Got it, thanks man.
You don't draw the card. It is "look at the top two" and "put one into the graveyard" the second card that you kept stays on top of your library. That is card filtering. And 4 mana to filter one card is NOT good.

How is this better? It is sorcery speed. It is variable in it's effectiveness. Reap at least is always going to be 2 cards. You can sac a token and get two cards. For lifes legacy to be better you have to sacrifice a 3 power dude and pay 2 mana at sorcery speed.
