You could find a decal of the greek symbol "phi". It's identical to the Phyrexian symbol minus the jaggady edges. I'm guessing there's a ton pumped out for fraternities.
7 player free-for-all game, mono-blue control player has the game locked down.
I Warp World, it wipes his board completely. Luckily he tapped out countering "scary stuff" from the previous 5 players. He scooped, guess he figured people would get back at him for the 3 Vedalken shackles he had out previously.
I love Warp World decks for multiplayer mainly because the board state gets flip-turned upside down.
Why do people seem to think this is Liliana? Wrong art orientation, wrong costume, the only thing remotely similar is part of the head gear. Every goth chick is automatically Liliana now?
If it walks like a duck, looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck. Besides, it's not a huge costume change, just no exposed navel.
Maybe this is why Liliana may not be in M12. She gets a card in Innistrad.
Har Har my dad bought forest wallpaper for his office and then zendikar came out and it had the card forest in it.
Or another comparison with Zendikar is the movie Avatar.
The "Hallelujah" mountains on Pandora look much like the floating landscape of Zendikar.
Of course, both Zendikar and Avatar were in production at the same time, and were released very close to the same time. So that's just a big, although cool, coincidence.
Sure we have our share of the stereotype, but all-in-all we have a majority of regular players that bathe, talk, make eye contact, wear deodorant, have girlfriends/wives/children
I love this stereotype too. If someone doesn't have a girlfriend/wife/significant other they aren't normal and an oddity of nature.
Thanks man, appreciate it.
I don't have a LGS per-say as our FNM's and other events are held in the student union of the local college. Pretty much everyone that plays is still in school and most are the "nerdy" majors. Engineers, Comp Sci, Pharmacy, and the like.
We're about as normal as our demographic will allow.
In casual I've had my opponent pass the turn to me, I responded "Nope, you could kill me this turn, see if you can spot how." Just to help them become a better player.
At FNM or higher level of play. I won't help them, or allow take-backs. Oh, I gained 3 life last turn from my Kor Firewalker, that last Bolt didn't kill me! Haha, no. You miss a may trigger, tough toenails.
Last FNM I was playing WW Quest, my opponent lost to being cocky. I swung and landed a Sword of Body and Mind and passed the turn. He swung on his turn, then killed me. After the game, he commented "If you would have remembered to put out your 2/2 wolf I would've lost. A judge overheard him, then DQ'd him and gave the win to me. Due to him noticing the mandatory trigger, and not saying anything about it.
Many "super aggro" (like RDW) decks are pretty much a murder-suicide in multiplayer. You outrun one player, just to run out of gas and be batted aside.
Personally, I usually run my Warp World deck in multiplayer. It generally ends up that I cast Warp World and get a good board position, whilst everybody else's board get messed up or vanishes. Then I march around the table.
It really only works once or twice. Once people realize what that deck's going to do they gang up on me and end me fairly quickly.
I had more fun playing in Lorwyn/Shards when the only "valid" decks were 5 color control and Faeries.
At least that's as far as I know.
I don't get it.
Those are the only cards I really collect, and it turns heads when people get to the 5 pages of Jinxed Idols in my binder.
You just accidentally the whole verb.
I'm just saying that this looks very much like a mox art to me. I'd be a-ok with:
Darksteel Trinket 1
Darksteel Trinket is indestructible
T: add 1 to your mana pool
Though I'm sure it probably is something similar to Squee's Toy, just because of the mentioned calming effect.

Ajani got his time in the limelight, and two different cards. Liliana has really yet to be brought forward in the blocks, just in books.
If this ends up being another vampire-loving block I won't be happy.
I want zombies back!
