Played in 3 pre-release events for Khans of Tarkir.
Abzan: 3-2
Temur: 4-0-1
Sultai: 2-1-2
I definitely had a fun weekend. I won 9 packs over the course of the events. I managed to pull a Clever Impersonator, 2 Polluted Deltas (!), and 2 other fetch lands plus a bunch of fun rares.
My star performer of the pre-release was Sagu Mauler! I had him in my Temur and Sultai pools and he won games for me.
Been a while since I checked in! I've been drafting M15 every week since it came out. Last week I drafted a sweet Blue Black deck, and despite the worst luck with lands, I still managed a 3-1 record, good for 8th out of 31 and 2 packs as a prize.
That's definitely an example of a cool alternate win condition.
So you think you'll get one per peck then, and select one of the 3 you have? Do you think these cards that go in the main deck, or are set aside? They did call this a new card type which makes me think they might go in your hand. They would become something of a dead card at that point though... I wonder if they have the normal card-back.
Apologies if this discussion has taken place elsewhere! I did a quick browse through this section but didn't see anything specific to the Conspiracy card type.
So I have a small theory about how this new card type will work in the Conspiracy draft format. I think it will be similar to "accomplish these Objectives to win victory points".
I think each pack will have an objective card, and you will take them automatically when you first open a pack. I think that: either the 3 you pull will be your 3 Objectives for the game; or all objectives will be pooled face down, shuffled and dealt out to all players.
By dealing out the objectives, you will have insight as to what 3 of the objectives are that your opponents have (assuming you don't get dealt back any of the 3 you submitted). Then the game will proceed and you'll have to try and figure out who has what Objective (based on their actions), so you can prevent them from completing it. This would add a lot of poker-face moments and interesting table talk!
Tally up the earned victory points at the end of the game along with who won, and some final winner is declared.
This is total conjecture on my part based on nothing but the fact that it's a multiplayer format and the new card type (card image attached).
Thoughts?
EDIT:
Consider this card advertisement from JOU:
Pick. Plot. Play. ~ Plot could refer to the Conspiracy objective cards.
"new ways to defeat your enemies" also would tie into an objective scheme.
"uncover hidden agendas" also hints at what I am proposing.

Isn't that kind of the purpose of the Speculation section of the forums? To speculate?
I wouldn't say we have nothing without a leak, we certainly have a small amount of information already, some of which I supplied in my post.
