Wondering if there is ever going to be an update to the Sample Decklists? I very much enjoy these articles and would like to see the Blue one fleshed out
What issues do you have with the deck and sideboard? I guess I wasnt coming across in type properly.
What I am asking, is trying to figure out against each top archtype, what to side in and out, I am just getting back into Standard for the first time in quite a while, 15+ years and not so good with sideboarding.
This deck is really only going to FNM's in my local area.
okay so I've been doing some long and deep thinking and I think I have my deck set up. my sideboard feels/seems solid through the playtests I've done. what I'm asking is if this was your deck.
how would you side against the top archetypes currently? like what would you remove/how many and what would you put in its place from the current sideboard as is.
I'm open to the idea of changes if these don't work out, but for now I'd like to keep board as is.
Yes, Force of Savagery has 0 toughness. It will be put into its owner's graveyard as a state-based action immediately upon entering the battlefield unless an effect puts it onto the battlefield with a counter on it (such as Chorus of the Conclave would) or a static ability boosts its toughness (such as Glorious Anthem would). A triggered or activated ability that boosts toughness won't have its effect fast enough to save it.
702.93a Soulbond is a keyword that represents two triggered abilities.
"Soulbond" means "When this creature enters the battlefield, if you control both this creature and another creature and both are unpaired, you may pair this creature with another unpaired creature you control for as long as both remain creatures on the battlefield under your control" and "Whenever another creature enters the battlefield under your control, if you control both that creature and this one and both are unpaired, you may pair that creature with this creature for as long as both remain creatures on the battlefield under your control."
Hey man, I was struggling like you, pretty recently infact but I am working on it and I am getting some amazing results.
First, dont starve yourself. Not a good choice, you can watch what you eat though or modify it.
Its perfectly reasonable to gain muscle mass, one poster said not to run at excess of 200 lbs. I am inclined to agree with him to a degree, start walking, then move into fast walking, then when you feel comfortable and have stretched enough (i.e. your legs and such have warmed up, then move into a light jog.
Here is my workout plan and diet to give you an idea of what I am working with. Keep in mind I am as heavy as I have ever been at 256 at 6'2" and Id like to get to 200-210 area. The hardest part of me is the diet, I was so used to sugar and junk.
QUICK RUNDOWN: I try to do Cardio on the treadmill at a slight incline for 30 minutes, 3 times a week. I train abdominals 3-5 times a week. Chest, Shoulders, Back, Legs, once a week. I do Biceps and Triceps on the same day once a week. I try to work my neck 3 times a week, and my forearms the same. Stretching is very important to me. I stretch before and after I train.
TIME BETWEEN SETS FOR ALL MOVEMENTS IS 30-45 SECONDS
DAY 1: Legs
superset Thigh Extensions w/ Leg Curls : 4 sets - 12-20 reps.
Box Squats : 5 sets - 12 reps.
Straight Leg DLs : 4 sets-10 reps.
Calve Raises : 10 sets - 8 - 15 reps
DAY 2: Chest
Incline BB Bench : 3 sets - 20 reps.
Incline DB Bench : 5 sets - 6 reps.
Flat Bench : 4 sets 8 - 12 reps
Cable Crossovers : 3 sets - 15 reps
*every other week I do 10 sets of 10 pushups, with hands on a bench
DAY 3: Back
Pull downs : 3 sets - 20 reps
Seated Cable Rows : 3 sets - 12 reps.

DIET : My diet is actually fairly simple. I stay away from carbs after 8pm or so. And as far as carbs go, I eat a limited amount, usually from mostly potatoes, oatmeal, and pancakes. I try to eat 250 grams of protein a day. About 60% of my protein intake comes from supplements. I like Isopure Meal Replacements, and Protein Powder. Nitro Tech is good as well. I also eat protein bars from Lean Body. Most of the protein I eat from food I get out of egg whites, steak, fish, chicken, milk, and cottage cheese. Sushi I eat around 3 times a week. If I have a sugar tooth, I like ice cream. It is hard to eat good from time to time, but you can do it. There is no excuse to eat junk!
Ah so THATS how it works, for some reason I was getting it in my head that I cast Act of Treason, use the creature however I wish, then before the end of my turn, I use Bazaar Trader to "give" the creature back to the player, then as my End Step resolves, the final text on Act of Treason resolves sending the creature back to me. But I had a nagging feeling this was not correct, so I had to check.
So I have been doing a lot of catching up, and in my catching up on the game I have discovered I want to try building a Red Thief deck, and I heard snippets regarding Bazaar Trader and Act of Treason.
My question, as I have read Baazar Trader, is how does this work? I am trying to wrap my head around it, let alone to understand it myself but to explain it to my opponent(s) when I pull this off in Multiplayer games and the like.
If someone could break it down as to how this works, part by part I would be most appreciative.

For the first time in my 7 year stay I'm finally resorting to asking MTGS for dating advice. Specifically, I met a girl at a get-together for my alma mater's Anime club.
