Awwww... this is somewhat disappointing. Urbis Protector is one of those "fair deal" creatures for limited that is stellar deck material, if not somewhat unexciting to play, and the other is a narrow application reprint.
Well, anyone got ideas on how to blink or otherwise abuse Urbis Protector for prerelease?
So wait, the guild packs have a chance of opening up a non-watermarked rare? I don't remember my RTR experience to be like this, although I did only play twice. I was under the impression that all cards in your special pack all had to have your guild symbol.
This kind of reminds me of a super-sized Orzhov Charm. I say super-sized in the sense that it costs 3 times the mana to cast compared to a regular charm, and instead of 3 modes, you get 4. The most restrictive part about this card is it's high mana cost, but it's most flexible point is that if you get to the point to where you can cast it, it's never ever going to miss.
Hello everyone! I've been playing Magic on and off for 13 years, and lurking on mtgsalvation for a few years by now. I'm a spike player at heart, but I like to think I keep an open mind out for all cards; standard, limited, EDH and occasionally modern. My philosophy is that having fun is the most important part about spending time with Magic, but for me, I'm usually having the most fun when I'm winning, hence my spike labeling. I absolutely LOVE foils. Spoiler seasons are some of my favorite times of the year, as I just love to deck craft and analyze future card pricing. That's everything I can think of off the top of my head, I hope to benefit the community in my small humble way soon!
