The thing is, his opponent shouldn't have been that sure of himself here. Whiteweenie has what, seven mana of three different colors? Sure, chorus is probably the only card that wins the game by itself, but there are plenty of sequences of either multiple pump spells or pump + other spell that keep this game going. It just goes to show you that you should make the right play as often as you can because occasionally it matters.
Wanted Simic out of loyalty, saw there were zero other Simics, didn't want to solo the maze so rolled Gruul. Secret ally was Golgari which offered nothing exciting, ended up mono-Gruul.
Faced Rakdos in round 1 and 2, beat them both, but all of the other Rakdos won their games and solved the maze TWO MINUTES before Gruul did. Buh.
Simic, Dimir, and Boros failed to finish the maze, other 7 completed.
Went 4-1. Had 2 Gruul War Chants and 6 bloodrush creatures, which led to several easy 2-for-1s. Only round I lost I drew 13 lands and 6 spells in one game, and like 8/4 in the other. 1st place went to "Azorius" 5-color-with-Teysa, 2nd place to Orzhov-splash-red, 3rd mono-gruul.
Friend pulled Frontline Medic and Supreme Verdict, and got the combo at least once (offing a Mirko Vosk, Mind Drinker in the process). Another guy chose Selesnya but pulled a Ozbedat in his ally pack; won 7 games with Ozbedat and 1 game without it.
Cluestones seemed pretty good for most people.
Sleeping now.

Fine - Should be worded "For each noncreature permanent, that permanent's controller sacrifices it unless he or she pays 1." I also think it should probably be "nonland noncreature", as an Armageddon that also hits Artifacts, Enchantments, and Planeswalkers seems a *little* good for common, even if it wants them tapped out.
Dandy - While a lot of the time people don't tap out until postcombat main, this can still catch haste/auras/equipment/bloodrush/etc, or if you're desperate it can just tap a land for tempo.
Pairing: Assuming Fine is meant to hit art/ench/planes and Dandy hits creatures, nice coverage, feels good to hit with either half.
/*/*/
Search - again, was this supposed to say Nonland? I supposed you can use this to do a large 6 mana Firestorm or 13 mana Obliterate or something. If it's nonland, becomes an answer to Wrath effects and combos with ETB etc.
Replace - handy!
Pairing - Basically an Overloaded Rescue. The AOE version seems veeery niche if it hits lands. If it's nonland, then it's a nice answer to spot or mass removal, with some combo potential.
/*/*/
Intents - Instant speed discard is a little rare, but this should be fine.
Purposes - Suppress. Like most split cards, versatility increases price.
Pairing - Everything temporarily or one thing permanently, nice.
/*/*/
Fun - Sure!
Games - Seems like it should be in reverse order. Saprolings die before they bite their controller, but Spider Spawning's don't. Maybe pseudo-Stronghold Discipline + pseudo-Rain of Embers + splitcard is too strong for common and it should stay as-is? Hmm.
Pairing - Not quite Overload, as the single target pings opponents off of a 1 toughness guy. A little unintuitive (the aoe version also cares about tappedness), nice versatile card but the connection isn't as nice as the others.
/*/*/
Risks - Reclaim that can occasionally delay a topdecking opponent, nifty!
Returns - A little complicated and swingy for common, see Decimate and Grim Discovery. Feels awesome when you hit it, and split card minimizes the misses, but at common this will disappoint a lot of people when they realize it requires all 4. "Up to" might be too strong, but either way this looks more like an uncommon unless your set has a heavy artifact and enchantment theme.
Pairing - Two nice ways of messing with graveyards, versatile, cool. Just doesn't really look common.

When ~ enters the battlefield, untap all permanents you control.
Whenever an opponent casts a spell or attacks with one or more creatures, you may return ~ to its owner's hand.

That tempo could be in terms of a high mana cost, or it could be in terms of auras, equipment or transformation. Grasp is contextually better than Excommunicate because it's in innistrad.
White - A little better than Green usually gets for flying, but fine.
Blue 1.0 - In an all snow deck, this draws 5 cards...at the very least all of your lands will be snow (hi Skred!) and then you'll probably have this and the red one, maybe white...
Blue 2.0 - As said, a bit much compared to previous draw spells.
Might compromise by making it like Ghoulcaller's Chant/Thirst for Knowledge, and get 1 of anything OR two snow (or up to one snow, then one additional of anything), or copy Thirst further with like "draw 4 then discard 3 cards or 2 snow" or something.
Black - as said, Ambition's Cost is pretty comparable. Being able to run it off of 24 Snow Covered Plains is pretty strong, but hey, Phyrexian mana, etc.
Red - For a middleground between 3 and 4, consider "3 divided as you choose" or "3 to creature and 3 to controller". Cheaper than Flame Javelin, but sorc instead of instant...hmm.
Green - Bounty of the Hunt. I assume yours is a Sorcery since the other 4 are? Compared to the colorless boosts of Equipment, seems fine.

The only time I've seen Ghostly Possession cast, it was on an otherwise empty board, on an enemy Kindercatch, buying time for Spectral Rider to win it while both players topdecked lands 2 turns in a row. So there's at least one "flyer" in the set that successfully goes over the wannabe Gaseous Form
The odds of that happening again are rare (and again, Bonds of Faith would have handled it too), so yeah F is fine.

Seems balanced for 6 mana, but as Orpheus said, the flavor isn't really jumping out. The +2 looks like the Speeder part, the -12 looks like the Time part, then he randomly has a Swelter and a Concentrate. What's his story?

It's a good point, actually. I could get around this with "~ gets +1/+1 for every -1/-1 counter on all creatures." Then again, it would make it wholly reliant on having a decent amount of -1/-1 counters around, and when those creatures die, it stops being useful. Overall, too unstable.
Plague Feeder 3.0 2B/B/
Creature - Beast Horror
~ enters the battlefield with 4 -1/-1 counters
Wither
Whenever a -1/-1 counter is placed on [another?] creature, remove a -1/-1 counter from ~.
6/6
Permanent boost that doesn't require 2 kinds of counters; just has a cap now. Feel free to make it more expensive 12/12 with 9 counters or whatever.

Every color got 4 better-than-CC bears in Ravnika from the Guildmages, with abilities. Blue has had Lord of Atlantis and Lord of the Unreal, with abilities. Red's closest to 1C bear was Goblin Furrier (which had a bigger drawback in that format obviously) but has had Kargan Dragonlord, Ember Hauler, Stigma Lasher etc at CC (and the guildmages). And Goblin Guide if that counts <_< Also Runed Servitor if you don't mind one that can be shattered (but has no Throat )

2nd place: Mono Boros
3rd place: Boros splash Orzhov
...
7th place: Simic splash Gruul (me)
30-ish people, about 8 Orzhov, 8 Boros, 8 Simic, 3 Gruul, 3 Dimir iirc.
I ended up with 3 Auger Spree and 3 Explosive Impact.
The girl ended up with 5colornofixing.dec, with Jace. "Daddy said red symbols were good."
