So, listening to de SDCC panel, I caught this little bit of info and found it interesting: "You have 1 in 8 chance to get your Khan".
In past pre-releases, the seeded boosters gave you the promo and a in-color rare, and sometimes, the special mythic from the cycle of the set (Guild Leaders, Gods or Souls). Assuming that the Khans are the set's mythic special cycle, and the way of getting them is different this time, What can we expect from the non-promo rares in seeded booster packs?
Because, if there is no change, there is a chance of getting the same rare (or even Khan) in the seeded booster, assuming all the promos are part of the KTK card file. I mention this because just in M15 we got 15 cards that are not in the set, but are legal in standard. Or maybe, the rares will be of the 2 other colors from your clan (say, abzan gets white promos, but the rares are green or black).
I hope I made my point clear (non-native english speaker) and would like to read your thoughts about it

It started as a midrange Naya Big creatures deck, but as time passed, I realized that Devotion was the way to go and have been getting some goodies for the deck. From there, I checked the winning or close to deck list and notticed the "Monsters" deck and its different versions. Mine takes an approach to that deck with a white splash for strong main and sideboard cards, like banishing light and selesnya charm.
A brief description of my choises:
The mana base. Currently with 10 shocks and 10 temples, and only 7 lands that dont produce green mana. I can deal with the temples comming into play tapped with the elf and caryatid, and the scry always helps. This is to maximize the white sources while providing enought green for the stars, but maybe the numbers can change. Mutavault is there because I can run it. Its always nice to have acess to such an useful land.
The mana ramp. Elvish Mystic and Sylvan Caryatid It is very important to power the big plays early in the game, and this guys help with that. The sylvan helps with Aurelia and the elf with the double green cards.
The planeswalkers. Domri Rade has not been really awesome, to say, but during the last FNM he drew so much gas and was a prime target for removal, wich is always nice. Xenagos, The Reveler is soooo good, because the +1 can help with monstrous abilities, mana fix some times, and just cast bigger spells, the tokens help to keep Desecration Demon in check and swarm control. Chandra, Pyromaster is there mainly for the extra draw, the +1 sometimes helps to finish a big dude or to remove it from combat, kinda relevant. Elspeth, Sun's Champion is a new adition to the deck, as is Ajani, Mentor of Heroes , so I have not tested them jet, hopefully they will shine soon.
The monsters. Polukranos, World Eater is amazing, being big enought to stop some aggro decks, dealing big chunks of damage, and removing some creaures is nice. Multiples dont mater, because the first one will die.
Stormbreath Dragon really proves its worth in this decks. The protection from white is key against control and can keep some white aggro decks from attacking you.
Aurelia, the Warleader . I had 2 mainboard, but she gets stuck too much in my hand, so it went down to 1. Also I dont want to up my curve too much and had to have space for elspeth. She is still great, flying, haste and double combat face makes her deadly.
Boon Satyr . I need early pressure and flash and bestow help with that.
Courser of Kruphix is there to gain life, stop aggro decks and filter my top. It has synergu with domri and chandra.
Advent of the Wurm insted of Ghor-Clan Rampager . Dont get me wrong, the rampager is super cool. but agains both control and mono-black, its just a wasted slot. The advent helps me fight the removal and tapping them in their turn.
Xenagos, God of Revels . Started with 2, then Deicide was spoiled, got sad, and went back to 1.
I would like to see a Persephone reference in Pharika, something like:
If Pharika isnt a creature, creatures your opponents control get -1/-1 and activates abilities cant be activated.
If Pharika is a creature, other creatures you control get +1/+1 and maybe some other bonus or tap ability.
Or maybe a more synergy oriented with Nylea and Erebos (pump and card draw):
Whenever a creature you control dies, target player loses life equal to the creature's power, or you gain life equal to the creature's toughness.
Or maybe some attrition ability:
At the begining of your end step, you may return target card from your graveyard to your hand/top of library. You lose life equal to it's CMC.
Hmm just now realized something. Why is it that gets two promos (not counting prerelease promos)? got bab Nightveil Specter, got gd Dryad Militant, got gd Cryptborn Horror, got gd Firemane Avenger, got gd Zameck Guildmage. They should have gave one of the other guilds a chance for a promo since there is still going to be gameday promos for Dragon's Maze but that still leaves out :izzet:.
Now given that information I'm going to call the gameday promos for Dragon's Maze is going to be &
I'm seeing Teysa and Lavinia (the underdog) as the protagonists, Emara, Vorel and Tajic as the first casualties, Varolz and Exava as dungeon sub-boss, Melek as the dragon and Mirko as final boss as he'll turn out to be Lazav.
Why would Lazav copy his own champion? If anything, he would kill and take the place of any other champion so his guild would have more chances to win.
While I love the idea of 3-colored intro decks (and hope it to be the case), I think that the decks will be the guilds that were not part of the Event decks.
We have a Golgari, Rakdos, Boros and Simic Event Decks, with a lone 5th comming in Dragon's Maze (let's say, Gruul). So, that would leave Selesnya, Izzet, Azorius, Dimir and Orzhov out, exactly 5 guilds to be our Intro Decks. Thoughts?
Well, there will be a tournament of this format soon in a store I use to go and I would love to have a competitive deck. Some cards that I am aware that are strong in this format are Guttersnipe, Skull Rend, Deathrite Shaman and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord.
So, I would like to bould something among the lines of a Golgari AND a Rakdos deck that abuses those cards. If there are better strategies, let me know
Just a question, would Temporal Mastery give us both an extra turn, or just me?
Something that caught my attention is that there is a dragon token, and a big one (6/6).
So, after the massive spoilers we got today, we are missing the big red mythic from the cycle, and there was not shown a red card that produces dragon tokens (correct me if im wrong).
So, this leads me to believe that the red mythic will be a dragon that makes "baby" dragons somehow (the mother must be HUGE to make those babies!).
Im still not sure about sideboard, help would be amazing
And Ima also thinking about replacing Shock with Pillar of Flame.

Removal. Mizzium Mortars early removes something annoying, later it blows the battlefield.Banishing Light is there as a mainboard answer to Desecration Demon , Underworld Conncetions and planeswalkers.
Sideboard:
2x Selesnya Charm as a bullet for Desecration Demon
2x Boros Charm as a bullet for Supreme Verdict
2x Destructive Revelry as a bullet for Underworld Connections and Detention Sphere
2x Glare of Heresy is God against control. Exile Spheres and Elspeths. Boros aggro seems to be getting quite popular, and it helps there too.
1x Ruric Thar, the Unbowed . Im thinking in adding one mainboard, because he OWNS both devotion decks and doesnt hurt me at all.
4x Mistcutter Hydra Agains control and mono-blue is awesome. Had it mainboard, didnt like it.

Because with the ring of wishes, one of the 3 remaining colors (blue, red, green) wont have a third mythic. Which one do you think will be left out?

As past years, the promos have been in their respective core set as mythic rare.
Could this mean that the ooze will be part of standard as a mythic in M14?
If so, then green gets another mythic hate bear =)
