And he doesn't prize depending on records, it's top 8 regardless. Of
Scores. Everyone's tried to convince him to pay out to x-1s but he refuses to listen to anything anyone has to say. It always comes down to "my shop my rules" when ever any one asks him about anything or tries to haggle. I'd give anything for another shop /:
I apologize for letting my frustration show to much in my responses. I just found out today how the prizes were split. He's been doing it to long for the payouts to be experimental, and I've known him to long to feel like it was an accident. I intend on politely asking him to set the prize pay outs beforehand. Hopefully that works things out. Thank you.
Sam that was incredibly rude. If you don't see the point I'm making then don't bother posting. A TO favouriting one player is a huge issue. I do sincerely believe he divides the pay outs based on who wins.
So to start off I want to be clear, I've never had a negative encounter, I've never been rude or had an argument with my local store owner/TO. But lately since I've been getting more serious about magic I've been noticing small (and rather big) things that don't sit right with me.
Is it normal for an fnm organizer to never decide how the top 8 prize pay out is split up until after the winners are decided? Two weeks ago the prize pay out was 45-35-20-20-7-7-7-7. I was 7th. Then last Friday I come in first, and he splits the pay out to 30-25-20-20-12.5-12.5-12.5-12.5. I feel like I'm being screwed over and there's nothing I can do about it because he owns the only magic ship in town. Is there anything I can do or anyone I can contact? From a spike that wants to become more competitive, this is very discouraging.
"No blocks..." goes an incredibly long ways when playing at higher levels. It either excited your opponent into doing something they shouldn't or it saves you some life you would otherwise be losing.
they either blood rush it or they do not, if they do not, burn it after combat if you really want to be that safe. Otherwise just nuke it before damage.
I like this thread though. I cannot think of any super vital lessons I have learned over the years but I will share when I remember one.
While it might be a good way to bait your opponent, its still not ideal. If they dont blood rush it, you still cant spear a creature before damage. Theres a chance they might bloodrush it in response to spear. Or if nothing happens, youre still taking damage that could otherwise be avoided, which somewhat reduces the effect of your burn, and giving him more value out of his creature.
Id recommend still waiting to until the last possible second. Only I think with the bloodrush ability (as little as ive seen it played so far) We might have to reconsider the last possible second to be After they declare combat, before they declare attackers. I actually havnt run my jund control at fnm since the new set due to fear of a control mil. But this brings up food for thought.
Unfortunately with a turn 3 kill going around this deck can be to little to late. Usually if you get to turn 4-5 you're golden though.
I built this on a phone I intend to primer it when I get to a computer
The deck kind of focuses on etb effects though
Given HS dead eye is an amazing mana sink, and with AoS you have the ability to double blink, which permanently exiles 3 + graveyard retrieval
Lilliana of the Dark Realms isn't a bad card. It's not an easier card to play with such as thragtusk were any Joe Shmoe can throw it in a deck cause its good. But in the right deck it can be a fog, land fetch/mana fix, removal generator, or a finisher in many ways. So please don't mock a card because you don't know how to use it.
High priest still seems unnecessary. Idk sorry if it seems like
I'm trying to ruin anyone's fun. I just don't see the card as game breaking, nor as a combo card. It has some nice value, a small body with with a murder attached to it. But that's pretty much all I see.

May I ask how

I'd rather drop heartless summoning or blind obedience for two.
