Given that exalted is confirmed to be in M13, the name does sound like this could be a land with exalted. Just my 5 cents...
I'm in agreement on this one. Could be a CPT land with exalted (possibly tapping for R/W), which would finish off the 8 duels for each color thing we have going for allied colors now. Frankly, Wizards has decided to give so much mana fixing it makes me sad...anyone else remember the days when you played mono colored or possibly 2 colored (allied of course) decks because you're only options were basics/painlands...now we have 3-5 color monstrosities because there's no reason to restrict colors anymore. At least in Legacy wasteland can help keep people honest...
Sowing Salt is the best solution I can think of..as the deck without the Cloudposts is next to useless. The fact that they come into play tapped means you have a decent chance of hitting them before they can really play anything dangerous at all.
This deck screams to have a ghost quarter or tectonic edge in it. To help fight 12 post and frankly because recurring them is just plain cruel against a lot of the decks that will run very few actual basic lands (for ghost quarter)
My Friend built this deck with Expedition maps and the Urza Tron Lands...it's ridiculous. He was getting turn 3 Karn's or All is Dust pretty consistantly. The beauty of this deck is that the cards that the opponent wants to deal with..are lands. Discard effects don't work well on Eldrazi..counterspells are only a delay (unless it's Emarkul..in which case they don't work). I love the idea of Ancient Stirrings though.
I was going through the crap rare binder I have and saw this one..and realized it dominates RDW's...play it on turn 3 or 4..and there's really nothing they can do but hope to burn you out (w/o use of creatures). Also might be great against any swarm decks (including the beastmaster's ascension decks I've been reading about). But thats my 2 cents..I build this deck up today..and it dominates vampires (7-1)
To beat people with cards they have never seen before. I am known for finding the "oddballs" that become EDH staples (I was the first to use Rhystic Study at our shop)
I believe that as EDH is supposed to be a fun format only...infinite combos should be banned. To me it ruins the game. I run squirrel nest in my Rhys deck...but I refuse to run earthcraft. Now, I have no beef with going off big and winning all in one turn...I just hate the "infinite" combos. For everyone's sake...just don't use em.
But, but, but... the Spice & Wolf franchise is famous.....
I should, however, point out that Time Stretch might be illegal in a Maralen deck. Temporal Extortion might work, though. Still, it is not too bad really. In Multiplayer, combo players may adore you for casting the free tutor. Of course players don't just "search for tutors and kill Maralen" but at the very least spend some mana and maybe a card to kill Maralen (where you can choose to let Maralen hit the graveyard and Makeshift Mannequin at the EoT.
Maralen is a disgusting general...if you build a monoblack combo deck. I won an EDH tournament with her as the general...pretty much a guaranteed turn 5 win....you just build a deck with all 0 cost artifacts, lands, an Ad Naseum, a zuran orb, raven's crime, and of course a Sickening Dreams....You cast Maralen...so long as you get to search ONE time with her...you can Ad Naseum for basically you're whole deck...you lose a max of 6 life (+ the 3 from her ability) and you play your Ad Naseum for your deck at the end of opponent's turn..and bam..sickening dreams for the kill (unless they have a ton of lifegain or counterspell handy). You can even use Raven's crime over and over and over to strip their hand...Makes for quick games (and sadly..pissed off opponents)..on the plus side you can take the deck apart and at most it cost you 8 bucks to make.
I understand Scorpion is a decent card, but perhaps too defensive for vamp aggro. The goblin is tempting for that purpose if we think B/R will pan out.
I'm curious on opinions as to the playability of Quest for Pure Flame... hard for me to evaluate. Yeah you need 4 unblocked swings, but then you get a mini-overrun... at instant speed.
No you don't...it just says source...thus any burn spell puts a counter on.
Well since you are not allowed to have any cards in your deck that either have a diff. color OR even use a color word not in your deck (for example you can't use an oroti snake basket in a non-green deck) the mana added would be colorless.

He's not going to be blocking with Dralnu....thus the "prevent combat damage" thing is useless. Just making him untargetable seems better.
