I am looking at replacing lightning bolt with harder like Fury simply because it is tutorable with flamekin harbinger

realmwalker almost has to be run, it gives you such a great rebuild engine post sweeper. I would even say that realmwalker is an important piece of the deck

past in flames value during combo turns might be cute. i want to see what the storm bros have to say about this though, cause thats the only way id play it

Actually Im not playing Atarka's command anymore, so maybe. The anthem does a lot of work and its a sustainable pump that doubles as a removal engine. I think the comparison leads to the wrong conclusion though so domri is just more effective in the long term. Domri and Judith make me want to add birds back to the deck in the 1drop spot too

so I have fallen hard into testing with Domri, Anarch of Bolas, and I really think the payoff is nice. Hes an extra mana per turn and an anthem effect. I feel like he fits really well here but I could see him being too slow or low impact.

reliably stopped by well-timed removal. Id love riptide lab in modern, and i think it adds new dimensions to blue that arent absurd. I hope it does get a reprint with the other class tribal lands

I still love using Mistbind Clique and Vendilion Cliques as removal, so I think the gameplan is still solid. I dont like playing Jace maindeck in faeries myself, so Im on a different path than the yuta fan-clan, but a lot of his list has wisdom to it that can be applied to more aggressive lists.

Well Im thinking that more efficient versions of those creatures, that actually replace themselves with the intended card solves the draw fixing for non-combo decks while also giving you a chump blocking body and doesnt get flashed back by snapcaster to be abused, so it could be safe design in modern that solves one of our issues

so question for you all. if design produced a 1/1 body in blue for 1u that was basically preordain would it help the demand for accurate draw fixing? i think the cantrip utility creature is a risk but it is a risk that pays off safely compared to the fears of powering up izzet combo.

Im completely sold there. I want to see a good shaman 1drop before I invest in the lands and the black cards. But what are we playing green for other than burning tree shaman? Rix Madi Reveler already makes a better visionary to refuel

there were faeries on ravnica and so far we got one lol its like hey you got a faerie now wait years for the next one that will also be far under the design bar you need it to be. its not hard, theyre just not looking at that element of the fantasy fanbase
