Is this a legit replacement effect? Is the wording correct?
That's a triggered ability. I could suggest a way to make it a replacement effect, but I don't want to overstep the rules of this game.

What about Madness? Wouldn't that count as both an optional replacement effect and an alternate cost?
to the best of my knowledge, yes.

nah, mother is too good. so much of the meta is based on creatures right now, mother would be over the top.
price of progress/back to basics i wouldn't mind. people shouldn't be able to run 4 colors and not be punished for it.
back to basics is definitely out of the color pie and OP in mono-u. ruination, on the other hand, ...

can people stop naming degenerate cards (anything with storm, dredge, dark ritual).
Eternal Dragon [would not see play]
Decree of Justice [would not see play]
The onslaught "cycling" lands [would be an awesome reprint]
Mirari's Wake [would not see play]
Moment's Peace [would be an awesome reprint]
Compulsion [would be an awesome reprint]
Psychatog [would not see play]
Innocent Blood (probably the biggest one) [would be an awesome reprint]

Hi, let's say I have Galvanoth in play, my turn begins...untap...upkeep...look at top card from Galvanoth ability...it is a Worldfire and I want to cast it..
Is it possible to cast any instant that will resolve after the Worldfire exile all effect and let's say deal 1 damage to my opponent and kill him ? How do you play it if it is possible, after upkeep trigger and before looking at the card or else...
long answer: beginning of the upkeep effects can't be responded to before they're put on the stack. they all go on the bottom of the stack immediately after you untap, so there's no way to cast an instant and have it be "beneath" the upkeep effects on the stack. as part of galvanoth's trigger resolving, you can cast the spell. if you do, it's immediately put on the stack, and there's no time to cast an instant so you can get it "between" galvanoth's trigger and the new spell. other beginning of the upkeep triggers might resolve after the galvanoth spell depending on how you stack them, but not spells or abilities.

glass-cannon griselbrand decks at least deserve the chance to think they might actually be playing something good. and it's just too nostalgic.

@Gamer - My personal preference is Storm of the three. If you're trying to build your deck in a budget manner, Storm/Twin will give you many of the cards necessary to play both. As you're aware, many people transform with their sideboard, so it can lessen the price.
In terms of whether Twin sideboard is good or not, I think it's actually not good. Despite all the Storm hate, there is some that hits both. And aside from that, you're now forced to win every game 1. You will win a game 2 with that sideboard, but likely not a game 3. The number of cards that actually have you straight up dead against Storm are very few, and you can often sideboard to anticipate. There are very few Storm decks that actually board into Twin now.
feel the same way. in my opinion, the 45-50 card pile that gets smushed against a 10-15 card splinter twin amalgamation just doesn't seem like a viable deck. eot 3-drop into 4-drop is fun, but low percentage. adding some number of counterspells, bounce, creature kill, etc., is better for storm than abandoning the plan.

How would unbanning a card that would HAVE to be played in ever 75 in a tournament bring diversity to the format? MM is a colorless free counter that can go in ANY DECK, and would have to, to be competitive. Thats the definition of narrowing the format, not making it more diverse.
the next meta level is that players would use two-mana cards that may have one-mana counterparts, just because you don't want your spell to get misstepped. also, it would slow down the format, not only because a higher percentage of one-drops are getting countered, but because decks are now playing narrow counterspells instead of filtering or win conditions.
misstep broke a cardinal rule by giving hard counterspells without having to have any sort of blue- or island-related resource, but i think its usefulness would ebb and floe with time. It wouldn't be a slam four-of in every deck because at some point somebody would cut them and not run any one-drops and be four cards ahead of the field.

i was just about to suggest goblin bombardment, but blasting station is pretty similar. how come there's no blasting station/enduring renewal/memnite deck in the world, and why must its mantle fall to me?
short answer: no.
