I picked up the last card I needed to complete this deck at GP Minneapolis. (Foil Karador) I also had the privilege to meet and play several games with ISBPathfinder.
I was talking about something as in some sort of ramp by turn 4 is kinda the go to for anything with ramp since that is when it is best. By getting rid of any ramp you open up options the same way.
I change my list so frequently that I no longer have a digital form of it that resembles what it is now. I'm busy doing stuff prerelease weekend, but I'll try to find some time to put together my current list. It is a little awkward to go through a deck a card at a time with only my computer for light.
In my meta O-stone only goes off if someone has enough mana to activate it same turn. Not even then if someone is playing esper that day (The blue players protect their mana rocks). Not that Karador is particularly heartbroken when an o-stone goes off, it is just there is a lot of good/repeatable artifact/enchantment/non creature removal around. For a while there was so much I actually cut aura shards because it required instant speed creature support to trigger even once half the time.
On a side note about Aura Shards sometimes I also run Dryad Arbor in the same deck and sit on my fetches to have an instant speed creature come into play.
Sol Ring offers explosive starts, but that is about it.
It doesn’t thin out the deck, it isn’t that great when drawn later, it doesn’t synergize with the rest of the cards, it can’t be recurred easily, it is not a mid to late game threat, it is narrow in what it does, green ramp and mana rocks clash.
I like Sol Ring, but I play my Karador as a control build and tend to win in the late game with it. Sol Ring doesn’t help me with the late game.
Right, I would be shocked if it didn't work that way. In a similar note I'm giddy about using Erebus, that card is going to be stupid good.
My wording wasn't as good, but I am correct about the Gods being creatures in all other zones regardless of Devotion.
The type-changing ability that can make the God not be a creature functions only on the battlefield. It's always a creature card in other zones, regardless of your devotion to its color.
Other rulings:
If a God enters the battlefield, your devotion to its color (including the mana symbols in the mana cost of the God itself) will determine if a creature entered the battlefield or not, for abilities that trigger whenever a creature enters the battlefield.
If a God stops being a creature, it loses the type creature and all creature subtypes. It continues to be a legendary enchantment.
The abilities of Gods function as long as they're on the battlefield, regardless of whether they're creatures.
If a God is attacking or blocking and it stops being a creature, it will be removed from combat.
If a God is dealt damage, then stops being a creature, then becomes a creature again later in the same turn, the damage will still be marked on it. This is also true for any effects that were affecting the God when it was originally a creature. (Note that in most cases, the damage marked on the God won't matter because it has indestructible.)
No tutors in the deck except for land tutors. It could run Phyrexian Tower, but life gain felt more important. It loses to really fast aggro and to dedicated mass LD.
It is very resilient to most situations and offers a lot of card advantage through it's cantrips. The list on paper looks like crap, but it plays out well. It is designed for the long game. Usually lots of mana into an end of turn Decree of Justice followed two activations of Gavony Township will seal the game.
Have we gotten a clear answer on whether or not the "Gods" are going to be creature spells regardless of "dedication"? That would seem to be the deciding factor on Erebus. I'm almost positive it will work that way, but I've heard arguments against it as well.
From my understanding they would be a creature in every zone except the battlefield if the devotion is less than 5.
Is there any particular reason you're not playing Birthing Pod now? It would be perfect in your deck (a little slow, but what can you do?). Erebus, God of the Dead will almost certainly replace Phyrexian Arena, I think I'm going to keep Library in until I can scrounge up enough cash for Bazaar. Yosei, the Morning Star is possibly the most boring win I've ever had. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to have an early combo win available but it sits in my hand in far too many games. Will probably become Ashen Rider
No good reason. I just don't own a second one. It is on my list of cards to trade for. I am hopeful for Erebus. I agree with Yosei. When a deck is under powered he can be fun and used to combat the stronger decks. When a deck is over powered he makes the game fun for no one.
Uh, what? Sylvan Library is one of the best cards ever for card advantage. You'd be nuts to cut it from any list. I wouldn't cut the Arena either. Find another slot for the land.
If you’d like to question my sanity then go for it. The enchantments are too slow and usually don’t stick around long enough to make them worth it. If anything I used to play Graveborn Muse over Phyrexain Arena because it was a creature and could potentially draw more cards, but I still don’t like having to wait until the upkeep because it might not be around.
Phyrexian Arena and Sylvan Library have both proven to be decent replacements for Bazaar, I fear if I cut them I'll end up in top-deck mode too often.
From my experience decent isn't good enough. You'd be lucky to use these a few times before they get destroyed. The other downfall is if they don't come in the early game then they are a sadface top deck.
I haven't tried Dark Prophecy, but it looks like it would net more cards. I've been playing with Harvester of Souls, but it might get the cut after the next set comes out. The real trick I've found with card draw is maybe I can't "draw" more cards then my opponents, but I can out resource them. Pernicious Deed, Oblivion Stone, Plague Boiler, False Prophet, recursion, Mindslicer, etc.

Sol Ring seems to sound like a meta call. Most decks I play have Oblivion Stone in them and some also have Pernicious Deed and Plague Boiler. I am also used to playing against Child of Alara and the occasional Null Rod and Stoney Silence. We also see other artifact hate.

Give this list a look over. A few changes I have compared to the OP. I use Windswept Heath, Flooded Strand, Misty Rainforest and Krosan Verge as my four fetches. I only use 1 plains. The other is a Command Tower. The OP is not up to date with Reliquary Tower, it is now Alchemist's Refuge.
No tutors in the deck except for land tutors. It could run Phyrexian Tower, but life gain felt more important. It loses to really fast aggro and to dedicated mass LD.

For reference I’ve included my list. Special note: I’ll probably cut Yosei, the Morning Star, Harvester of Souls and Artisan of Kozilek once Theros is released for Birthing Pod, Erebos, God of the Dead and Ashen Rider. My list still has room for tweaking.
Yosei is cool once or twice, but after that it feels like a “meh” win. This kind of lock-out gets boring fast.
