One of my biggest misplays was not casting enter the infinite from my hand when I had hive mind on the board and 8UUUUU mana open and a serum visions in hand...
5(best and favorite) Sidisi.
It's great for dredge. The only problem I have with her is that as a general, she's a tad lackluster and needs to have a lot of dredge. Looks like she'll work in flashback/unearth/threshold/dredge/delve type of decks.
4. Zurgo
It fits the WBR wedge very well. It also seems to be more aggro centered and I'm a pretty big fan of Voltron. The only problem I have is no trample.
3. Narsef.
Not beefy enough to be voltron and isn't really in the right colors, but that ability is really strong. You just need some setup, and I think that it's he biggest flaw.
2. Surrak
He's too bland and a bit too niche. If you aren't up against control decks that like to counter, then his "can't be countered" ability doesn't do much. Also, his colors don't really match up too well.
1(least favorite) Anafeza
Too niche for anything. She's close to a strictly worst ghave in terms of combo and has nothing special for Voltron apart from an ability that gives +1/+1 counters(no flying, no trample, etc.). His/her best thing is her power and toughness.
Favorite way to win: aggro or a really cool combo that's not infinite.
Least favorite way to win: a lockdown combo that takes out one of the players till they die.
Favorite way to lose: getting aggro'ed to death/ awesome combo'ed to death
Least favorite way to lose: lockdown combo and pillowfort.
Can't target creatures, unlike electrolyze.
Also doesn't make you get more cards in hand, but makes the opponent lose cards. It's also not instant
For what it does and the restrictions on that card, it costs a bit too much to see play in Modern. I can see it on a sideboard at best.
Gnar is annoying but the one thing about him is you can't control when he transforms. That alone is the reason i'l stick with Shyvana in the top lane
Well, it DOES take a lot of practice to master how to control his transformations. However, once you master them both, you become a veritable beast as it is really hard to deal with you.
You cannot master the transformation since it will happen regardless of you wanting it or not. At most you can manipulate the opponent's mindset when you're about to transform.
With champions like Renekton or Shyvana (I play both), you can literally sit on that transformation for all of laning phase or until the jungler comes to gank but with Gnar, you have to transform which can be bad if you just transformed at the moment the jungler comes. Normally you want to save all the skills until the enemy uses theirs.
With Gnar, you want to stay as close to the 60-70 mark as possible in laning phase(sort of like Rumble). This ensures that you don't transform too fast by accident and it also ensures that when your jungler comes to gank, you can transform. The problem with him is that his W is really counterproductive: it forces you to deal damage(which forces you to gain more rage) to get more MS and to proc the mark.
But you're right: sometimes the transformation will happen regardless.

Possibility storm with Intet, the dreamer.
No one can cast their cards from their hand, but I can still cast the cards I choose thanks to Intet and some library manipulation that's on the board
I would keep altar of dementia. It's a pretty solid win condition against anyone that doesn't run Eldrazi/ against a deck that you can't quiet deal with via combat(something like Sharruum, who would combo off with thopter assembly, darksteel forge, altar of dementia, and sword of the meek, creating infinite indestructible tokens or a deck that runs avacyn, angel of hope).
Also, Altar can help you mill yourself if you need cards in the graveyard.
Mono-colored decks, IMO, are really cheap. No need to get duals, no need to get fetches, you save a lot of money.
In modern, I'm playing mono-white Death and Taxes(which is around 200 or 150), Merfolk is also pretty of cheap.
In legacy, it can be even cheaper. Burn is 100 dollars, High tide is 150 without candelbra, and more.
New Soraka actually feels useful now and I don't know much about Victor.
Thanks Argentleman;)
