Can anyone get a list of all the states? The decklist on the site seems to list the most recent dozen or so, but when you click 'View more standard decklists' it just links you to a mess of a page where you cant sort by state. That website has always been pretty terrible..
We're working on getting a list of all the states (that have submitted their information to us) on the Decks page at StarCityGames.com soon. I'm sorry for the delay.
A lot of people pointed this out in the Facebook comments and on Reddit, but the reason it was cancelled probably has a lot more to do with the way the storm hit Roanoke, VA than how it hit NJ. If the people who travel from there to run the event can't even get out of their homes, then the event won't happen. I live near Roanoke, and I know there were sections of Interstate 81 (near Star City Games and probably what they'd use to go north) that were completely blocked off even today due to abandoned cars and stuff.
Just to be clear, I wasn't trying to imply that SCG don't care, as its pretty obvious that they do. More that in terms of problems with judges, going to the judge coordinator is likely to be a better angle.
No worries, and the regional coordinator is definitely a good resource.
I would like for the OP to get me those details so that I can make sure this organizer doesn't make a mistake like this again. This may have been their first IQ and I'd like to help steer them in the right direction for the future.
I'm going to just out myself and say I work for SCG in the In-Store Programs department, and we do care about your experience at the Invitational Qualifiers. If you send me an email at isp@starcitygames.com with the details, I'll be in touch with the tournament organizer and we should keep this from happening again. Please feel free to send any other feedback about the IQs to that address as well. Thanks!
Yeah, I noticed a particular user has been trolling in the healthy or unhealthy ban thread after a string of "Legacy is dying" threads in Magic General where he/she had been defending Legacy.
Once again, an ad here hijacked the Safari browser on my ipad and took me to a page for Ron Jeremy's Sex Pills. I'm on my ipad, so I can't get the information as described above.
Since some of those cards you listed have fallen out of favor in the wider meta, the exile part is less valuable. I think Hellkite and Thragtusk are the only two I've seen recently.
EDIT - Since I've seen them show up in Esper control and spirits locally, what is our best option for Drogskol Reaver? I'd hate to throw that much life to an Orzhov Charm, but that's the best I can come up with.
I dunno about you, but maindeck Selesnya Charm actually looks pretty bad right now to me.
The exile part isn't as good as it used to be, but the pump and flashing in a knight are pretty good versus these all-in gruul aggro decks. Overall, you may be right, though.
I just side in removal and centaur healers and play the control deck. Human Frailty is pretty narrow but if humans are prevalent in your meta I guess try it out.
This, and I'd point to my list as one that's set up well vs. gruul aggro. You just have to stabilize, then your creatures should outclass theirs. Centaur Healer, Thragtusk, and Trostani just ruin gruul's day, and even the centaur tokens mess with their gameplan. I've lost one game total vs. gruul, and that was with the opponent having a god hand and getting killed before I could do much of anything.
I also went 4-1 this week. Lost to Esper Spirits, beat a bad Golgari deck, then a good Naya, Bant enchantments, and gruul aggro.
What's the general consensus on Obzedat in this deck? I know it's not a token maker but it's hard to deal with and has crazy synergy with Trostani and Garruk.
I've been using him as a finisher and it's really good versus control and midrange. If you can live the dream with Trostani followed by Obzedat, you're sitting pretty vs. aggro, but he's otherwise a little underwhelming in that matchup.
I went 3-1-1 last night at FNM. Only two "real" decks and opponents I played against were a Burning Tree aggro deck and UW flash. I beat the aggro and drew with control. Loss was to some Champion of Lambholt jank while I didn't draw removal for the champions.
And are there any vendors who sell souvenirs, such as fancy clothing or other items? I went to King Richard's Faire last year and purchased a high-quality hooded cloak there, and I definitely would like to obtain a similar item at PAX East to commemorate my visit there.
The Penny Arcade booth has the official PAX merch, and the main PAX East clothing accessory is the scarf they put out every year. Not fancy, but something unique to PAX East.
I'd say the MTG events have been pretty good, if not on the same scale as a GP. Also, last year, Lars Grant-West TerastodonSeachrome Coast was there. Wish I'd known ahead of time to get him to sign stuff, so if anyone hears about any MTG artists going this year, mind hollering on this thread?
EDIT - TJ Collectibles has this year's MTG event schedule here.
We had several more submitted last night and my team is going to start calling stores we haven't heard from yet this afternoon.

We will start on those today and they will get their own spot on the Decks page at StarCityGames.com.

They sometimes have a playable version of the new one at the Wizards' booth, so quite possibly.
