Pre-Mending 'Walkers had their powers reduced by the Mending (that's why Bolas keeps trying to find ways to get his powers back). The only reason some of the pre-Mending ones are still around is because they had *separate* methods of immortality apart from their Spark: Liliana's demon-pact, Sorin's vampirism, Bolas being an immortal Elder Dragon, Karn being a magic robot, Venser's access to slow-time water via Johira. The Eldrazi were sealed thousands of years ago; if Nahiri is still alive (and Sorin seems to be assuming she should be), she'd need to be some kind of very long-lived or immortal race or being.
Also, Sorin and Ugin are/were immortals, so they could be expected to still be around (except Ugin apparently got killed by Bolas... maybe). Sorin was expecting Nahiri to still be alive millennia later though, so she can't be a normal Kor (they're just normal mortals, right?). Also seems a bit of a plot-hole that Sorin was SO CONCERNED about Ugin being missing but is just kinda "oh well" about Nahiri being missing (but it might just be a future plot hook).
I just double-checked the wording of the upcoming Stitcher Geralf (I'm planning to use him in my Grimgrin zombie tribal Commander deck when he comes out), and as far as I can tell this is accurate:
after the mill everyone for 3, if you exile zero creatures (either because none got milled that time, or you just chose to not exile any), Geralf is still going to put a blue 0/0 zombie on the 'field, correct? It's relevant because there could be ETB triggers (eg Noxious Ghoul) or other zombie lords that keep it alive, etc. As far as I can tell, creating the zombie isn't *contingent* on any cards getting exiled.
I think 2 each is very fair. I know alot of stores were selling their Garruk stand ups for 100$+
... Whoa, really? I'll have to give the guys that run my LGS store super extra double thanks (I already thanked them a whole bunch of times) for giving me my Garruk standee for nothing! (I have no intention to sell it, btw). They also gave me the (empty) Helvault after the Avacyn Restored event.
I'll definitely ask them what they're going to do with the banners, depending on what they look like. I don't always expect to get these things from them, but none of the regulars at the shop seem to be interested lol.
I am pretty sure you don't as that would mean this rare is useless by itself and Tymaret, Murder King doesn't work
I think the question on the table is, does it read:
"1B: If Bloodsoaked Hero is on the battlefield, return another target card named Bloodsoaked Hero from your graveyard to the battlefield. Activate this ability only if you attacked with a creature this turn."
or
"1B: Return Bloodsoaked Hero from your graveyard to the battlefield. Activate this ability only if you attacked with a creature this turn."
?
I'm pretty sure it's going to be the second one. Whoever was doing the translating just has to work out if the equivalent phrase of "a card named" is in the ability anywhere. If it isn't, it *can't* be any iteration of that first option.
It's even more generic than that, even. It's not tied to the creature it's on attacking, it's just a check to see if it's true or not, and the ability will do something (or do something *extra*). Think like Morbid - it can go on creatures or instants or anything.
2) All of your other green, elf creatures would become +2/+2. Be careful to note that each of the creatures you listed say "Other ____ creatures get +1/+1", so that the Imperious Perfect is only +1/+1, and the Paragon of Eternal Wilds is also only +1/+1.
Tiny correction: The Paragon of Eternal Wilds isn't going to get any power/toughness boost in this scenario (it doesn't pump itself as Outcryqq said, but it's also not an elf to get the Imperious Perfect boost).
I like this change a lot, it makes the cards' text look so neat. I do worry about how it'll actually fit on cards though, especially something like the Commands that have more modes.
What I'm wondering is if this change is specifically to accommodate Khans having a higher incidence of modal spells than average. I was expecting/hoping for Charms, at least, but that would just be one 5-card cycle (probably). We know that one clan has a returning mechanic, could it be Entwine? As a whole mechanic based around modal spells, it would lead to there being more in the set, but it doesn't really fit in with any of the hints of what we know the other three clans (Abzan, Sultai, Temur) are about.
If Bolas is "super-sized" at 6" tall (and twice the price), how big are the regular ones? 3"? I've never seen these in person, only pictures online, with no scale-birds or scale-bananas....

One mode makes a 4/4 bear token, and one of the other modes punches it?
