It largely depends on whether or not the Apocalypse has happened and everything has degenerated to a lawless land where people are wearing tank tops and fighting over precious little resources. Savagery, pillaging, murder abundant, and the vile act of playing with cards without proper sleeves.
Then, magic cards will become a new form of currency. Bottle caps be damned.
Starcity is consistently overpriced, even if you wanted to preorder something there are other places which have much more reasonable prices. I only want about 6 cards from each new set, so it's just cheaper to order them unless they're overhyped. then I'll just wait for them to rotate. The preorders I've done, I have been happy with, but it's never the big stuff.
Unfortunately my card collection only stretches as far as Onslaught, though Manakin as a common should not be hard to get hold of. While Urza’s Incubator makes things cheaper I personaly prefer to go with a 12 post mana base, 4 to 7 mana on turn three on average seems better.
That Door of Destiny synergy sounds interesting, and the Gemini Arbiter combos is also nice, thank you for the ideas.
Another Like-minded artificer, all right! This card is definitly a huge addition to construct tribal. Door of destiny is great for this because 0 cmc constructs (memnite and walker) pump it for nothing. Also, Silent arbiter and Gemini Engine go together for the control combo. Opponent can only block with one creature, but gemini engine's twin comes in to play attacking. Two attackers, one blocker. Plus, due to layers, the twin is bigger than the original engine because it copies its p/t then gets a bonus from door of destiny on its own. I use Urza's Incubator to help get the bigger constructs into play.
It's called deck thinning, every time you use a fetch land you're pulling a land out of your deck so you have less potential to draw them later when they are less useful than a spell.
A deck made for the sole purpose of milling is designed to win the game with one of the many legitimate win conditions. A deck designed to grief is designed to upset your opponent, which you can do without winning.
I don't like counterspells and land destruction, but they're part of the game. If you didn't make the deck just to piss me off, I'll happily play against it, even several times if you're trying to test something. A troll deck is defined by intent, not content. Everyone has parts of the game they like less than others, but they are tolerated as part of the game. Poor sportsmanship like griefing should not be tolerated. If you find out someone is a jerk, don't play with them. Eventually they won't have anyone to play with unless they stop being a jerk.
I actually agree with Voltaic key now that you mention it. It represents the combo potential inherent in artifacts that I think defines them even more than their fundamental mana acceleration qualities.

You should have your cards fixed unless you want a bunch of commons running around.
Sweet, glad I could help. I'm going to write up my construct deck in a few days as a part of a series of blog posts for my artificer group. There's a thread about it here http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75842/27911753/Better_know_an_artifact_deck!

I love this card, but I can't decide if it's going in my golem deck or my construct deck.

We covered this already, and brainstorm didn't exist until way later.
