I remember the months and months on the League of Legends forums with an outcry for a female champion that didn't have large breasts. This was how Jinx was created and honestly, I think it was something that actually added to the game. My girlfriend for one loves Jinx (as from what I have read for many female players, Jinx is many of their favorites too) and it got her interested in League of Legends (the music video for Jinx helped as well).
To my point, I think that if this whole get women involved movement pushed for creation and not destruction it would be better for everyone. I rather have these people who just complain, complain, complain gives us ideas rather than bring all this negativity.
It is similar in the comics right now where Marvel is taking key superheroes and their titles and changing their gender and ethnicity (Thor, Ms. Marvel, Captain America, Green Lantern, Human Torch, etc.) and the outcry of some fans asking for Marvel/DC to make new characters of this gender/ethnicity that are original and interesting instead of removing their favorites.
Also, I would like to point out that without a big deal being made, the last 5 Final Fantasy games had females leading and pushing the story: Yuna, Ashe, Lightning, Serah, Lighning again (Yes, in 12 Vaan starts telling the story, but if you have played the game start to finish you know that Ashe is actually the protagonist of the game).
Lastly, I am curious to know what you all think about the state of Japan and their media (since many of our games here in the US come from Japan) with the oversexualization of cartoons, comics, and games seemingly normal and commonplace.
Ben literally says that word of what they are doing can't get out.
Because the "gamergate" movement has demonstrated itself to be filled with hateful psychos who will harass anyone they see fit and because of dupes like you.
Never mind that collusion generally involves competitors setting prices etc to control markets despite what the law might say about it.
Assassin's creed had to waste developer time and project finances to include a playable female, which could have been used on something more productive.
Look at you. Representation of women, something that just isn't productive? Something that's a waste of time? Hah. This is why people doubt you, doubt the perspective you come from.
Skullgirls is filled with fanservice, Hyperdimension Neptunia looks like this and MGS received criticism for including horrifying violence against women. They all still exist, tho. A lot of people have voiced their dislike but the games can still be bought and played. So much for censorship. I don't know what the Stanley Parable thing is but your track record so far is awful.
You really don't have anything to argue other than the use of the word collusion?
Secret or illegal cooperation or conspiracy, especially in order to cheat or deceive others.
Yeah, nothing like your statement in that dictionary definition of collusion. I am not trying to say that DokuDokuH is in the right with his statements, but man, if you are having to resort to attacking his word choice instead of his actual points, you should consider stepping away from this one because you are getting a bit too emotional.
Do you have some examples of the crazy censorship?
I can't tell whether it's "Perhaps 'Rape is Fun' is not the best of titles for your game" or "You have a female character who is less than saintly". I am completely on board with developers exploring autism, sexuality, and other subject matter. On the other hand, the style of Dragon's Crown felt like the hypersexualisation was just tacked on to a decent game. I don't want them to be forbidden from making games like that, but if I were reviewing it that would probably take it down a notch. Is that censorship or just honest reviewing?
Wasn't Dragon's Crown supposed to be in the style of Japanese animation? Cause they are all about sexualization in their comics and cartoons.
I totally agree with you on Michael Bay destroying Transformers and that critics have very little sway over the public as a whole in the movie scene. But politics can and do effect how people go to see movies.
Think about when the movie adaptation of Ender's Game came out and the huge political ****show that happened because Scott Card is anti-gay. That is a political stance that the guy who wrote the book that the movie was based on that (arguably) didn't show up in the movie having more sway over the viewership than all the critics on RottenTomatoes.
So I ask, do we have any compelling evidence that these Devs are so scared of the critics in this websites that make Fox and MSNBC appealing that it changes the way they make their games?
Edit: I guess I missed these links to high powered Devs saying they censor their work over what the critics might say/do. Could you PM them as to not get repeat stuff on here. Thanks.
Which is why I wrote, "taking all her features together in the cultural context of a 21st-Century video game..."
Which is a meaningless, generalizing statement on its own. There is a wide, wide breadth of games in the 21st century. For every CoD or Saint's Row, there is a Shovel Knight or a Mount and Blade.
Is there some ancient and praiseworthy custom that requires the woman to pose in such a manner that her breasts and buttocks are simultaneously (extremely) visible?
In the link you posted, go to the comments. You have ones posts gifs of Cap punching on a bag and his butt shaking, several comments about how hot that it as well as the hotness of Hawkeye's arms, and lastly talking about desires to see Thor and Loki kiss.
I just would like to point out that woman can sexualize men just as easily as men do to women.
Did you read the paycheck fairness act? It was a waste of time that did nothing but give trial lawyers a new avenue to make bank.
Equality under the law is a waste of time?
The domestic violence bill should have been passed, but what do you say to 40% of domestic abuse victims being male but only 15% of domestic violence cases have a male victim? You don't think that is a huge problem?
It should have been passed, eh? Remind us who opposed it.
As to it being a problem, you'll have to show where I said it wasn't.
Women can still use whatever birth control they want. To my knowledge, Hobby Lobby isn't drug testing these women and firing them if they have said birth control in their systems.
Only it costs dollars and omitting avenues of a woman's health in the insurance they get is evidence for the war on women narrative.
Please show me where Hobby Lobby has stopped coverage for all female birth control.
For fear of summoning our resident MRA expert I am going to chime in on re: War on women. Yes it's real. Remind me who opposed the paycheck fairness act? Who opposed that domestic violence bill? Who has decided what birth control women can use? No war on women here, folks.

Ice Cube's song "Enemy" (Containing the use of Cracker three times including the line "Sent me a subpoena because I kill more crackers than Bosnia Herzegovina") - Okay
Not really, but it falls under artistic expression. Note that he's rapping about murder here. That he uses a racial slur to do it is almost superfluous.
Saturday Night Live (Celebrity Jeopardy's line "Dago mustache and greasy hair" - Okay
Because we're supposed to be laughing at Sean Connery's blatant racism. It's not sympathetic. Similar to all the "n*****" in To Kill a Mockingbird, or "redskin" in The Searchers.
So, just so I get this straight because I don't argue with most of your points, if the Redskins changed the mascot to a potato, that would be okay in your book?
Also, just because you are "meant" to laugh at a character's racism shouldn't make saying racist comments okay. That is like putting Donald Sterling on an SNL skit and having him drop N bombs to insult people.
Cracker Jacks (Snack food with stereotypical cartoon) - Okay
Redskins (Football Mascot) - Not okay
Cracker Barrel (Southern restaurant chain catering to southern white people) - Okay
Redskins (Potato) - Okay
Fighting Irish (School mascot explaining out the stereotype) - Okay
Redskins (Football Mascot) - Not okay
Ice Cube's song "Enemy" (Containing the use of Cracker three times including the line "Sent me a subpoena because I kill more crackers than Bosnia Herzegovina") - Okay
Saturday Night Live (Celebrity Jeopardy's line "Dago mustache and greasy hair" - Okay
Indians, Chiefs, Seminoles, Braves, etc (Various School and Team mascots) - Not sure
Washington Wizards (Basketball Mascot) - Okay
Interesting culture we live in.

Basically, the top looks like it has 2-3 black borders worth of thickness while the bottom starts with the artist hugging the bottom edge.
I was curious if it was correct that this card had some extra value being miscut in this way.
I will try to add a picture if my technology and time permits.
Thanks in advance.

I will be curious to see if this evidence continues to draw out this lawsuit.
Supposedly the amended complaint has one of the Hex developers MTG tournament history and many developers MTGO user names.
