I'm running this list in FNM tonight. I don't have very high expectations, since this is the first time I've played in awhile. I could use help on the SB though.
I really want to get Bant Emeria Titan working, but I don't have a lot of time to playtest. I feel like green offers some really good ramp options to get to 7 plains faster, but blue offers the better Supreme Verdict and Detention Sphere
I think the general feeling on that card is that it could go in our deck, but it isn't necessary or super game changing for us. Sure a 3/4 with viligance and the token making is a just bananas, but does it do enough on hating our opponent's deck or slow him down. The other three drops we have can either hate our opponents resources ie flickerwisp or force them to make a tough decision. ie Blade Splicer. So idk if it is worth it.
But if I'm wrong, cool. Then we have another option for the super crowded three drop spot.
We dont have to worry a lot about it going to the yard if it's already attatched to the dudr too. I would like to try it. Also, it isn't as horrible with thalia if anyone runs her. 2 cmc rancor sounds better thatn 4 cmc sword.
Even though some of the protection cards seem supar, in white weenies, the bane of this deck is removal. The more protection type spells are pretty important. Maybe rootborn defenses in the board against supreme verdict type cards.
Another card for protection is Faith's Shield. It was ok in what I was running in standard. Basically another protection type card. But I guess the fateful hour could be good.
And why no silverblade paladin? Seems good at speeding up the clock. But it is 3 cmc. Idk, it just seems good for giving the deck extra speed.
Don't forget about dismember for the sideboard. Almost any deck can play this card. Even though the 4 life loss is a good chunk, it is totally worth it. And it is at instant speed.
It's pretty hard for a lot of decks to beat a turn 2 smiter, and a turn 2 strip mine from Leonin Arbiter, Noble Hierarch, and Ghost Quarter is one of the best things ever while playing this deck. While it seems more aggroish, and probably is when compared to mono white, but it still can go the distance with Scavenging Ooze and even Thrun, The Last Troll.
Thrun is a beast. So good, and very hard to get off the board, since it will always hit the table.
You could also just have a light splash of green for noble hierarchs and horizon canopy. A turn 2 blade splicer seems pretty legit. Also, geen gives us access to some other decent sb cards.
My guess is that it won't, but for list making purposes, it is a least another option to consider.
If running the four Baneslayer Angel, route, there could be a chance of this being possible, but we would have to test a bunch to see if this statement is valid.
There is also Judge Unworthy, which could be interesting in the deck, but I feel like we don't run enough large enough drops to kill a creature higher than three or four toughness, but the scry 3 is pretty sweet.
