IF a mod or a new 'author' will be happy to take over Emether's thread, consolidating current facts and tourney reports, I'm very OK with it.
But that's an if...
I like this option best. I agree that the thread has to change, but we should do our best not to discard all that progress. I'd be willing to take over OP, as I'm sure you are too, we just need a mod to step in to see if it's doable.
Emether's list is not updated, and I only wanted people to see an updated list.
I understand the desire to have an updated list front and center, but my main concern is the two years' worth of testing in the old thread just being cast aside. I can read that thread front to back and still learn something.
I think the best solution is for a mod to reassociate the OP in the old thread with a new author, so the old debates are not lost while new sets are still shown to be relevant. If that is not an option in the new forums, they can easily edit in a new list that the thread crowd sources together.
I in no way think you're doing something wrong, but as much as we love Emether's deck building skills and gameplay, I'm equally apprehensive about just starting fresh when we don't have to.
... we havnt seen a doran top 8 a major tournament since the bannings in January. Maybe more discussion is needed or maybe it just needs to be easy to find updates lists.
I think the main reason that Doran has slipped to the outskirts of the meta is that the top control list was banned while a midrange/combo deck was introduced. Given that Doran absolutely thrives against control decks, it lost it's footing somewhat while the meta was still very fluid.
Personally, I love that the deck has slipped from the spotlight because it can come out of nowhere to wreck the meta at a moment's notice with a skilled pilot; it has that much power and versatility that it doesn't need recent winnings to stay releveant.
If you want to log your experiences somewhere other than the main thread, I'd suggest using the blog system for your account. you can link to it easily enough without clogging the DC subforum with another thread.
I'm in the hospital with something resembling pancreatitis, so I'll be gone for probably a week. I can use *****ty wifi from my wife's iPhone, but I definitely can't play any matches if that's happening.
Find some love for . I think it rivals , sacrificing the ability to target enemies for negating the need for additional mana. It makes draw off CIP creatures more long term. And it works off of tokens.
when signed in, the replays tab at the top shows all replays on the server (wiped weekly) you've witnessed. They only show up on that list when the match room is closed, fyi, that took me a while to realize. Basically you highlight the files you want to keep and hit an arrow to the left or something, they'll be stored next to your card pictures in your files.
I think Thrill-Kill or Hatred are our best for game 1. YawgWill is better suited for when we know we have to deal with a control deck, where we need the extra reach.
Desolation Angel is nice, but I don't think we have any need to get there cmc wise.
25 usable WW nonland cards; we did pretty damn amazing.
The only cards I'm on the fence about are Thrill-Kill Assassin and Yawgmoth's Will. If we cut those two, we're at 23 with Vindicate as our only black card, but I think TKA beats out someone.

How do you summon a mod?

Cloudstone Curio rivals Equilibrium.
Also, you could easily save the replays off 'Trice.

It's over :(. Drafting is always my favorite part.
