I still don't understand all the whining about these. It's the same damn card, just an exclusive promo version. It does the same thing in tournaments, so who cares?
4.) Izzet are obviously something electronic or industrial. Maybe some EBM or synthpop, but those are too slow. I suppose happy hardcore or hardstyle would fit. I'd say ToneshifterZ - 'Psychedelic wasteland' would be a decent fit...
Actually, Pillars of Creation popped into my head for Izzet.
i had a feeling MM would turn out like this. i'm pretty sure people who have rushed to get boxes are not going to get all the value commons and uncommons they think they will
the fact is, this is meant to be drafted and so the limited format will be adjusted accordingly
Yep, 5 of the cards are merely fringe playable in the right deck. Clearly this whole set will suck.
The card would have been absolutely fine and fun to play with if it was any 10 gates. The requirement of 10 different gates dooms it to the absolute trash pile, even for the most casual of games.
I don't get why some of you guys hate the banning of Second Sunrise. Why would you want a deck like that to flourish? It makes the game unfun as hell. Seriously, you guys perplex me. I personally want to hear what you have to say.
Because if some cards were unbanned instead, Eggs would suck and not be a thing any more. That's basically what people are getting at.
I have exactly the same situation, and oddly it's never bothered me. Maybe I'm too accepting, but I appreciate my environment enough that I'm willing to deal with it. We usually get 20-30 each FNM, running 3-4 pods for 3 rounds.
Well, the idea is that farming means food, and food is roughly analogous to life gain.
I can imagine Path to Exile meaning the creature is exiled, as in banished, and goes off to explore or something.
I know right..
I play Surgical Extraction and would be pissed if my opponent shuffled his gy in his library before I could cast extraction, even if I'm tapped out.
Of course, at a real event you should just call a judge. Opponents aren't allowed to do things like this at competitive REL, and they should be discouraged at FNM.
Birds probably aren't going to return. They were cool but flying is not an ability green gets, especially at 1 mana. A similar creature without flying (maybe 0/2 instead) could certainly work though.
Judging from its printings in M10, M11 and M12 I think that's nonsense. The reason for its non-return is more a power level concern, and the fact that it gets stale after being printed for so long.
Is Exile considered to be a sacrifice? I got a white card angel jubilation, player cant not pay life or sacrifice creatures to gain life or use abilities
Uh, no, sacrifice means sacrifice. If it doesn't say sacrifice, it isn't sacrificing.
You can't counter a land. In any case, Cavern of Souls doesn't stop your creatures from being targeted, only from being countered.
Counterspells can hit hexproof creatures. Ghost Quarter and Tectonic Edge are good lands to destroy other lands (also Wasteland and Strip Mine but they might be out of your budget range).
White/blue/green isn't "hard" to play, but adjusting to 3 colours is harder for some people.
It sounds like you can just play a good control deck to beat your brother; that can be white and blue. Consider playing cards like Iona, Shield of Emeria as strong finishers, with lots of counterspells and cards like Day of Judgment to survive that long.
Everyone stop complaining. This card is fun to some people. It won't see play, nobody cares, MOVE ON. People will have fun with this card, and if 1 of the 156 cards in this set is an unplayable uncommon, the world will not end. God damn guys.
I disagree. Voice of Resurgence feels very mythic in what it does to me. I think you're just upset about the price of cards, in which cases there's a thread for that.
