Get in a time machine and go back two years to the Lorwyn block.
In all seriousness, I suppose Zigguart is your best bet if you're playing an all creature deck. Other than that stock up on tri lands and fetchlands, I guess.
Probably ebay. You will get more money there than going to most local game stores. Go through paypal, and then buy tix from bots, ebay, or the online store. Probably be difficult to find someone that trades alot in both.
I take that back, one of the bots has a brick and mortor and trades in both. Not sure who though.
Absolutely and without a doubt, Zulaport Enforcer was my MVP card. I had a couple games that went as follows:
Turn 1: Zulaport Enforcer
Turn 2: Zulaport Enforcer, Guul Draz Assassin
Turn 3: Venerated Teacher, swing for 6 if they have no blockers.
Turn 4: Level up the enforcer to 3, have fun with a 5/5 unblockable. (Encountered exactly 1 black creature in the whole tournament)
Second place goes to Pathrazer of Ulamog, costs more but there is a world of difference between Annhilator 3 & Annhilator 1. One game I dropped a pair on subsequent turns, and my opponent conceded then and there.
THey are not gonna be the downfall of jund because jund can just kill out the enchantment. So can almost any deck cept vampires but they dont need to. After seeing the umbras in action I feel by far the best is Hyena and I dont see many of the competetive meta decks running it except for boss naya or ww.
So jund wastes its removal on an enchantment..... seems good enough.
I think you're sorely overestimating the effect of Totem Armor in standard. The primary form of removal in the format is Path, which completely ignores it... Not exactly worth wasting a card slot on.
Purge maybe but not path. As a big jund player I love you playing it. Please path my thrinax, please. Trading it for a land is acceptable to me. I do think umbra's will or might be the downfall of jund.
Pennon Blade was your MVP eh? I elected not to even put that in my deck and I had a lot of Eldrazi token producers. I was using them though. That was their whole point I thought?
My MVP would be Ulamog's Crusher by far. Second though was probably Heat Ray just for removal functionality.
brb attacking before I use them... But yeah, throw it on a flyer and yes it hurt them tons.
The card that won me the most games was Pennon Blade. It was really solid with all the 0/1 tokens I was poopin onto the battlefield. Just wondering what worked best for anyone else.
What people do is, they COMPLETELY copy a Jund deck that wins a GP or 5K event. The problem is, those decks are built to go up against "anything" since theres a good chance there could be anything at those events.
People needs to take the *core* of jund (bbe, leech, thrinax, bolt, blightning etc) and then tweak their own Jund around their local META. If no one plays RDW at your META, having any cards in the SB for it is sort of a waste. Same goes for if there is a lot of control at your META, and your SB only has 2-3 cads to SB in against it.
This is where I think people are making Jund overplayed. They think b/c it wins a huge event, they can copy it and it will always win. Problem is, there are a few decks Jund can lose to, and if your META has enuf ppl play Jund, ppl will have answers for it. So you need to have answers for THOSE decks, that the decklists might not have 1 for.
80 posts in less then a month and your advice sucks..... jund is what jund does.....
I bet you could put that naya ally deck together for pretty cheap, unless it does do good and wins. Then I bet all those ally aren't a buck each anymore.
... shrug, I am done trying to sell my results and my ideas. If anyones got an open mind that wants to give it a try, just PM me. I think at this point I am just speaking to a wall here on this forum.
I used to be very active in this thread, I even believe you and I have had a few arguements. I stopped posting in here because of the ideas people had for the deck. Like yours in the full post. I wouldn't change my counter heavy package for anything. I too have been rather dominate with my deck. Placing well for several weeks. The only somewhat bad matchup I had was Jund. And at worst it was 50/50.
Now I'm not saying yours is bad, but what makes you right about it. I have won and rather consistently. Why should I or we drop what we dont want to.
The chance of jund having a good start against grixis is better than grixis having the right cards in hand for the first few turns. After sideboarding we obvioiusly get cosiderably better but jund still plays on better CA in the early game and if it is not stopped we lose. Jace is 10x the CA engine as BBE or Bit but you dont seem to be able to cast it till you can protect it.
If anything this standard is annoying me, I have to see threads started about jund and how much everyone hates it every other day. It is what it is for now. I have jund and as the op stated, I just didn't care to play it. I tried to play grixis and too some success. But not enough to make me happy. I am now running RDW's for the jund players.

Exactly after a night out with a few buddies i come back to read the latest thoughts on standard, and boom applesauce everywhere.
Seriously?
What he/she said or maybe a rupture spire I guess.
Otherwise, green ramp and KoTR might get you there but is still is going to be a challenge.

i dont get how you lvl'd him that much turn 4.

LoL, I went 3-1 and only lost because of this guy....both games. Mana flood then mana screw didn't help but he did burn me all to heck.
poop can't fix my thread title.

More flaming equals more time in the penalty box.
